Ted is off today so we went to see Fool's Gold. We liked it but I am a Goldie Hawn/Kate Hudson fan.

I just had to share!!! You know this is Aerial's first year in art since they didn't have it at private school. Well next year, in 9th grade you have to be recommended for art because there is a limited number of spots in it for 9th. Aerial just called me and told me her art teacher went to her today and said she recommended her for it, without Aerial even having to go to her to ask for a recommendation!!!! She was so excited. I am happy for her, since it's her passion.

Okay, I may not want to watch the video, but I will so do it.

We went back and did more karaoke on Saturday. I sung Picture by Kid Rock & Cheryl Crow with the Karaoke host. My friend told me I would never make American Idol. So, don't get excited about hearing my singing on a cruise. You'll probably need to drink first.

Does he still work for Pepsi or Coke? Are they laying off? Heidi I am so sorry. I agree with your mom, maybe something will work out. Things are horrible right now. Jeff might lose his this fall. ​

Selena, the job force is crazy. We have another friend that ALMOST lost his but is hanging on by a shoestring. Yes, Chris still works for Coke. She said that this is affecting about 15 people and they can submit their resume for other divisions. Chris has been there quite a few years so hopefully they will take that into consideration. I will keep Jeff in my prayers. I feel for all of you people. Ted is close to retirement so we are lucky plus he works for a city which helps to some degree.

They said they are "restructuring" the job. All the people in the position as Account Manager have an interview set up for them, there is about 15 people fighting for 3 jobs. The scheduled the interviews for them and sent it as part of their severance package. He has been online this afternoon applying for anything possible in Coke, even taking several steps back as a Cashier. I wasn't sure if he was going to go to school today but he did go, I am proud that he went after all the stress he is under. Luckily I have a good job so I can hold us over for awhile, just not sure how we are going to finish paying for wedding stuff (nothing big, just stuff like table decorations, final balance of DJ, party favors, hair, accessories, etc)!!! We might not be able to take the Honeymoon now, it is paid off but we will see if he gets a new position if they will let him take close to 3 weeks off. I guess we will find out in the next 2 weeks, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh Heidi, I am so sorry. Believe me I know how hard it is. Maybe you will luck out like we did when Brad lost his job. He ended up with getting a paycheck from his old job as part of his severence package and was getting a paycheck from his new job too. Hang in there! Let me know if I can do anything.

Well I found out from Chris that my numbers are wrong. They are laying off over 150 people from Kansas City, west. It was all the Western Sales Team. All these people will be competing for limited number of jobs. Chris wasn't very motivated to get to work today, but he is trying hard to continue on with a good attitude. We went to bed pretty late last night just talking about things so we both are a little tired from lack of sleep.

Heidi, hugs for you and Chris. Hang in there, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he will get one of the spots. If not, maybe something better is going to come up.

Update on Chris's situation:

He went and talked to some of his old bosses and one of them said he would make a job for Chris and have him on his team if he loses his sales job. So it sounds like he will still have a job, it may be lower pay and he will have to go back on a truck but at least he still has a job with Coke!! So since the honeymoon is already approved, looks like things will work out. Still scary and nervous until something official happens, but it sounds better!!!

The couch to 5k is working for me! I did 3 miles in 43 minutes and 20 seconds. With my cool down I ended up doing 3.6 miles in about 55 minutes.
