LOL! It certainly was a quiet weekend!

DH's b-day was on Saturday. Myself, 2 oldest dd's (23 & 16) and MIL went wedding dress shopping on Saturday afternoon..... DD thinks she has found her dress...... LOL! Of course it is my least favorite of the three -- t's strapless and I am not a fan of strapless wedding dresses...... Oh, well....

Were you anywhere near the Rio Grande restaurant, in the old train station? We picked up my boss at a hotel near there, don't remember if it was the Courtyard but might have been, and drove over there to eat. On our way into the building, we could see a guy about half a block away shooting up right on the street.

Why yes I was!!! Very nice area. I am thinking our secretary should have done more research and talked with the Salt Lake area office before putting us there!!

We're back. Where is everyone?

Alex was in Nebraska with my in-laws this weekend so, when we weren't busy dogsitting everyone else's dogs, Tammy and I hiked a lot and ate a lot. We hiked at Mt. Falcon Park on Saturday and Matthews/Winters Park on Sunday; we ate at Landry's on Friday night and Pappadeaux's on Saturday night.

Hi, ladies and gentlemAn

I spent the weekend in Baltimore for my cousin's high school graduation party. What a beautiful area! They live in a very suburban part of Baltimore and the houses all look like storybook cottages. I thought they were going to serve porridge. I absolutely loved it. (They had tents, catering, adorable pink drinks with pink sugar rims - loved it!) It was really nice to see my family again but it was sad coming home in a way.

School is winding to a close and I am finishing up 4th marking period grades. The final exam is Wednesday, so by Friday, I will be done. We still have another week of school, but since all the grades are in, there's kind of no point besides cleaning and organizing.

I am getting energized and excited for summer and I am really hoping to take some fun weekend trips to visit family and friends. Now, to talk Robbie into it.

Just found out last night that my two best friends from HS are coming to visit for a long weekend in July. One of them is in the process of finalizing his divorce, so the other thought it would be a good idea to get him away for a bit. It should be a fun time.

Pre-warn Heidi, Cristi and I when your friends come out. I think we will have to stay off the streets. I see some beer drinking coming. LOL

The other 2 dresses I thought were just beautiful! And this one would be nice with a lace shug ---- I just can't stand strapless wedding dresses so, I couldn't get past that... LOL!!!
We did decide that she needs just a tiara not a veil -- the veils didn't look good on her at all! We didn't know if it was her short hair or because she's a blonde.

The butterflies were abundant due to all of the wildflowers.

I was going to see if you, Heidi and Cristi wanted to go out with us. Just don't tell your significant others. You three would be the only ones who could keep up with us.

Yes, definitely pre-warn me so I can mark my calendar and join you!! I would make sure the three of you would have a great time...but I can only drink Malibu, if I kept up with you in beer I would be crawling home!! I say a game of bar golf is in order!!!!

Why does it have to drop 20 degrees today? I was enjoying there 90 degree weather, but I guess 70's will do and the rain is always good so I will stop complaining!!

It was close to 100 here yesteray but, is only supposed to be around 95 today..... we are supposed to get rain and cooler temps later this week. Our cooler during the summer usually means around 90.....

Sunday evening we were talkng about out last trip to Denver -- we were looking at some of our pics of the Mother Cabrini Shrine and talking about the lightening strike and the damage, etc.... Such a shame! 9ds (Elvis) looked at the pics and said *That's the place that had like a thousand steps going up the mountain. I thought I'ld never get to the top!* We live in a *prarie* area so, we don't have a reason to walk up any hills and certainly not mountains! LOL!

I am so bummed and upset. Between playing phone tag with the girl from Terrace Gardens, they booked my date. So now I can stay there and change my date or go somewhere else. I can't stop crying, I am so mad, it was my perfect place and perfect date. You would think since I left so many voicemails and messages with people that they would actually save the date for me.

I am so discouraged right now that I don't even want to look at places.

Heidi, I'm so sorry! I hope that it will all work out. I can't believe they couldn't just hold that date since you said you wanted it. People just put money above what's right sometimes. I really hope you find the perfect place and date again. Are there other places you like as much? Have you told anyone the orig. date yet?

I am sorry. It's supposed to be perfect, because it's your day and you deserve it. It will happen just don't stress, it will work out in the end.
