OH MY!!!! Now I need to go to the Liquor store!!! LOL! And I'm not even a drinker! LOL! SOmething about those drinks makes me think of VACATION!!!! :rotfl:

Just got a phone call from NJ. She thinks this second snowstorm is real funny. NOT! Jersy people have a funny sense of humor.:lmao:

So I just found out I may have a 5 day weekend (and atleast a 4 day weekend)!!! It has been declared that Tuesday, January 2nd will be the national mourning day for President Ford and I don't have to go to work on that day. Add a snow day tomorrow and with Monday being a holiday, that is 5 days off!!!! This couldn't have come at a worse time as I am swamped at work, but I guess my customers will just have to wait a few more days!!! I am going to stop worrying about it and jsut relax and have a great time off.

Haha. I'm a Benny, not a Piney, so I can laugh.
You're not a Shoobie?

Then you must check out these links:
Piney
Benny
Shoobie
which make it clear that Lulu is, in fact, a Benny and not a Shoobie or a Piney.

LOL. Those are hysterical - esp. the list of "Benny Behavior". I'm not that bad, but I'm definitely a slow-driving, large bill paying, kind of sunburned Benny. (the B is supposedly Bayonne.) And I say "Down the shore", which according to my friend who is an Atlantic City cop, is the mark of the Devil.

:cutie:

It was so warm here yesterday, I painted my toenails outside. I miss the snow/cold a little. Robbie does, too, esp. since he is a nonpracticing snowboarder and really misses when he could go every weekend. How are home prices is CO? Actually, my parents are even thinking of moving - not that far, but "down the shore", which makes them . . . Jrsy? There has to be a name for those that retire there. . .

Yesterday Robbie and I took my 4 nephews to WWE RAW (Wrestling) for their Christmas present. We ordered pizza before we left, got hot dogs there ($9 for a dog and soda!) and Wendy's afterward. They are like insatiable at this age! They need to be fed every 2-3 hours! popcorn::

The characters (guests?) at that RAW event were insane. I could write a book - but I will just tell you that I *know* that the boy behind us has laryngitis today - and I'm glad he didn't throw up on me. And the man who stood behind us in line? I just pray he didn't drive! He could barely stand. He tried to kiss his daughter and missed. Drunk as a skunk - could smell it from 6 feet away. :rolleyes1 The best was the girls (14-16?) in lime green bikini tops, sneakers, tights and striped ruffly mini skirts with pink and lime green dreadlocks and DX painted on their faces. princess: I am eternally fascinated with this stuff. It was definitely a sociological study, lol.

I am thankful all four returned with me safely and behaved well. I assigned them all a number and I would call "count off" and they had to say their number so I knew I had all four. :teacher:

My nephew said I did a good job not being completely uncool. "Hey, you didn't embarrass us, and at least you didn't read a book like my mom does when she takes us to Hockey games." LOL :thumbsup2

I am packed and ready for the Cruise! :boat: My bags are stuffed, actually. Rob's dad got us snorkeling equipment so I packed that, and our robes and my 6 pairs of shoes (don't tell Robbie!) take up a lot of space. I didn't bring a ton pf clothes, but the bags are stuffed nonetheless. I leave tomorrow morning.:wizard: Robbie's had to work every day this week and is not packed so he will be skipping my nephew's birthday party tonight and packing instead. Our flight's just after 7 am and we have to be up at 4. :scared1:

I can't find my white noise machine. I'm kind of frustrated, but it's not a big deal. We're spending one night at ASMu and I thought it would help since I've heard the walls are a little thin and I have a hard time falling asleep someplace new. Maybe I'll just have a couple drinks, lol. :santa:

So, Heidi, we saw pics of the snow, how about the "ice"? ;) I want to see your ring! I am so excited for you! Are you doing any planning yet? Big/small? Soon/not for awhile? etc. (I love this stuff, I used to walk around with centerpiece flowers and a pillowcase on my head when I was 5 :bride: )

Well, I'll be on today. I am doing some research for my Masters program and trying to get my stuff all settled. I did all my work for school and the kids will be very busy.

Have any of you ever done Palo brunch? I made a reservation for it this time (10 am so it won't be too early) and I'm wondering what it's like.

We're cutting back so we're not doing tons of spa stuff, just rainforest room, which was our favorite anyway.

Anyway, I'm here today - at least until 5. :surfweb:

Good question but I don't know the answer. It seems that most of the shore-related nicknames are derogatory in nature.

And, BTW, what is wrong with "down the shore"? I thought everybody said that. Is he saying that it shows that you don't live there year round?

Yeah, only the tourists say "down the shore" people who live nearby say they're going to the beach. He just likes to make fun of me. ;)

Jrsy and Lulu, you crack me up!:rotfl:

Jrsy, how long are you going to stay at work?? Seems like everyone is home with the exception of retail and medical.

It isn't snowing down here right now, but I suspect that if it starts snowing hard, everyone here will decide that it is time to go. Either way, I don't expect to be here as long as I normally would.
