Cranberry or Pineapple?? Part 2

Sorry guys, I just mean that sooooo much needs to get done now that we are only less that two weeks away. I needed to shop, ship, get in contact with TA (who still hasn't gotten back to me) about transfers from port to airport. We always rent a car so this is new to me but my docs say from airport to port. Make magnets, stop mail, stop newspaper. Call credit card companies to inform them we will be out of town. Then while I was stressing I realized I have to get the house clean and still get my nails done, hair cut, pack. I am freaking over getting my itinerary with all the confirmations typed up. I honestly can't remember which port we are doing what in. I wasn't like this on the PC cruise. This is my 6th cruise. What gives??

Marcie, I meant to tell you that I loved your pictures. That one of you is so pretty.

I still haven't let dear old Cosmo out yet. I think I will do that right now.

Sorry guys, I will get better. I promise.

sorry, it said it couldn't post and it did. This was a duplicate. See how my day is going? :lmao:

Take a deep breath and relax. You will get it all done. :goodvibes

I stressed some too before our trip. One night I told Aerial I hope I didn't forget anything etc. And she was like oh Mom you worry too much. Well, the next day I told her that she may actually learn something from me sometime and she said yea how not to worry. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

:grouphug: Sandy You'll get through it and then be able to relax on the trip. :goodvibes I'm glad Cosmo made it okay.

Mom - yesterday my day was the same. I went to the gym for my kickboxing class, only to find that I left my membership card in my car (Chris was driving). I didn't want to go into class late so I was just going to go back home and sit and watch TV, but Chris knew what a bad day I was having so he forced me to go back to the gym and join the class later. I felt much better after the class. Went to bed and woke up with a migraine today.

I have never stressed about vacation because my mom always does everything for me. Well this is my first trip to think about more than myself and I have to pack for me, Chris, and his girls and plan everything. I don't know how my mom did it all these years by herself!!!!

OH lets make an offical list of what all you need to do to get prepared for a cruise. I always tend to forget something. I am serious here. I am going to start it and please copy and paste to add to it!

Stop Mail
Stop Newspaper
Arrange care for animals
Inform children's teachers/get approval for absences
Arrange for someone to look in on your house
Salon appointment
Spa appointment for nails, toes and waxing

:confused3 I cannot think of anything else right now...please add on....I think we all can use this to help us when we cruise. Once we think we are finished I will make a checklist and email it to everyone!

Ah shucks Heidi. That was so sweet. It made me stop and smell the roses. LYMI! Sorry about your migraine! By the way, Torry sent me an email.

Thanks to everyone else for understanding and putting up with me yesterday.

Marcie, Cosmo's shirt is sooo cute that you shipped him in. He is sitting on my couch waiting for Heidi to come over after work.

I use to have gel on my nails. I love the fact that I did not have to mess with them ever well go to have them done every 2 weeks. I had to quit when I started back to work full time a few years ago. Now I am thinking on doing this again. The lady I go to for my toes does not do gel. I love gel. I only want gel. Does anyone think this will insult my lady to have another person do my nails. She had never done my nails only my toes?

Heidi is at work with a migraine!! Is she ok?

Hi Sandy....please add on to my list....so we all can have a list

We cross posted earlier. I will add to the list after my little one goes home or during her nap. What a great idea. Hey, what is gel nails? Never heard of it. I have my appt for next Friday.

Yes I am!! Unfortunately I have so much to do at work that needs to be finished by next week that I cannot afford the luxury of a sick day!! My medicine has kicked in, but now my stomach is upset. I am enjoying my day eating saltine crackers and drinking Ginger Ale. My managers that I service at work all love me and do not like any other specialist here, so I stupidly promised I would get there stuff finished before I leave since I will be out of the office for most of the month of September. Sounds pretty easy for 2 weeks, right? No because tomorrow and next Wednesday I have to do Supervisory Briefing for 4 hours in the morning, and then Tuesday I have a training class I have to go to all day, so that really leaves about 5 days that I can really work!!!! My coworker stopped by and said I need to take a break, so my break is the Dis!!!!

To add to Selena's list:

Stop Mail
Stop Newspaper
Arrange care for animals
Inform children's teachers/get approval for absences
Arrange for someone to look in on your house
Salon appointment
Spa appointment for nails, toes and waxing
Call bank and credit card companies to let them know you will be on vacation and NOT decline any payments made out of the US.
Lock all windows and doors
Unplug everything that does not need to be plugged in
Turn off air conditioner
Passport/Birth certificate/ID

For a packing List, I could add a ton more. Like LuLu, I have all my outfits planned and all miscellaneous items that need to be packed written down!!!

Too bad Alex wasn't feeling well. Is he doing better now?
He still has a cough, but his energy level is back up again. He was bouncing on the trampoline last night.

Here is something interesting: when we were young, remember how medicine always tasted so terrible? Then along comes grape flavored medicine and nowadays you can find bubble gum flavor or cherry or blue raspberry. I don't know about your kids, but Alex is now picky about which flavor medicine he has to take. Its hard not to say "Back in my day, we didn't have any flavored medicine..."

So, anyway, Tammy found the most effective medicine (for Alex, at least) is from Wild Oats. She has two different kinds that have more natural ingredients, last longer and take effect much quicker than what you find at Wal-Mart or Walgreens or Target. He woke up coughing early this morning and was probably quiet and back to sleep within a few minutes of taking the medicine AND he didn't complain about the flavor!

He was back at school last Thursday, by the way, and Tammy wasn't cheering, she was sad... :sad1:
