Cristi, major hugs sent your way....especially for Brad. I don't blame you for not telling the kids. I don't think that I would either!!

Thanks Sandy. Yeah, I just don't think they need to worry about it. Hopefully, he will find a job before the transition period is over and just be able to move over to it. Now, of course if he doesn't have one by the time he has to leave his current job they will have to know.

Cristi - I think it was a good decision not to tell your kids because if I were them, I would have worried too!! They need to be kids and not worry about adult things!!! I hope Brad finds a job soon.

Sunday, Chris and I took the girls hiking at Red Rocks. We climbed up and down the ampitheatre steps, went to the visitor center, had a picnic, climbed rocks, hiked on many trails, climbed more rocks and then went home!!

Dh & I saw a Rolling Stones first *Farewell tour* concert there!!! In 1981 or '82. :lmao:
Dh won the tickets from a radio station call in contest. :)

His dad is making him crazy. I knew it was a mistake to tell them. His parents always have such a gloomy outlook on everything. Just when I think Brad feels a little better his dad will call and tell him things like he will probably have to take a job he doesn't want. That might be true, but he doesn't need to hear it constantly. Sometimes I just want to smack him (his dad).

 Some people do need a good whack!

I had a great night last night with my sister. She needed to get out of the house and we went shopping. She took me to a place where she attended a wedding. It was beautiful, so I requested information this morning.

Yay!!! :bride:

LuLu - I just read your thread that you posted a few days ago and just wanted to give yoy another hug.

Hello everyone! I am not looking forward to today. I will have a 5 year old and an 8 year old boy. He is sooooooooooo smart. I mean SMART! It is so hard to keep him busy. He always has to be challenged. Makes for a long day and lots of hot flashes.:rotfl:

I read your thread on the community board and wanted to let you know that I can totally understand how hurt you are!!!

When my sister had her first child she said to me *your not going to be his Godmother* ok....... She was my first child's Godmother but, I would have prefered her not say it that way! LOL! Just don't ask me! LOL!

Stephanie

Hey everyone!!! Lulu, I saw your thread to. Hugs to you. :grouphug:

Sandy. Your posts today made me laugh. Did you make it okay? :rotfl2:

I am working very hard now at work. It's always good and bad when we start getting emails on how many returns we have left to do and to work harder. Good, as in to tell myself it's not over yet i gotta keep going but bad as in geeez we aren't working hard enough already?? :rotfl2: Good thing I love my job. We are 9 returns ahead of last year though. Less then 3 weeks to go.

Did I ever mention we got a treadmill? I just got through doing a 30 minute workout. It sure is good to release all this stress inside of me. I've gained 5 or so pounds this tax season though. Probably all that comfort food.

Okay, I'm off to watch Idol.

P.S. I miss Karen

Marcie, I have been thinking about Karen as well. Guess it is time for all of us to cram her mailbox with emails!! I need to get something to exercise on as well.

Lulu, I haven't read your thread yet. I will have to seek it out tomorrow but I will send you hugs now. Never too many, right?

The good news.....I made it through the day. Now one more day and I will be a survivor. I get them again on Thursday.

Thank you for all my hugs. Never too many, definitely. :)

Steph, that is terrible. I can't imagine being told something point blank like that. How cold. You're right - a lot of it is the way it's said, too. If people explain limitations, it doesn't hurt as much.

On the positive side, it encouraged me to not take work so seriously and to make time for my friends more.

Marcie - I have gained some weight that I haven't been able to get rid of since my last cruise!! (not like I really tried!) So now I am getting serious and setting small goals for myself. The first 2 weeks was drink at least 96 oz of water a day, second 2 weeks is first goal plus only take the stairs and park far away, third 2 weeks is goals + doing sit ups and free weights every night, then going to the gym more than once a week!!!

I need to start using my treadmill.... I used to use it everyday -- in between days of walking outside -- and I loved it!
It really helps with the stamina for walking quickly all day at WDW! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Exactly!

When you're young (I'm thinking you are young since you have friends getting married & you work more then one job, etc...) you do need to work on relationships with your friends so, that youa re still good friends as you get older!
The older you get the more you realize that you do need at least one or two good friends!
