Hi All-

I booked a Jr Suite at the Contemporary for a weekend in January
for an AP rate of 243 a night. I have never stayed at the Contemporary (a dream since childhood) so (needless to say) I am excited!

What the heck is a Jr suite? I tried to find photos (no luck)and would love a detailed description and opinion!!

Thanks all-your advice is truly appreciated.

Well, I can't help much to answer the question, but I too have wanted to stay at the CR since WDW opened.

Here's some more info - and a nice site, in general:

http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/cont.html

It has a little bit about the suites.

This morning I booked a normal tower room - for $251 before taxes. Sounds like I should call back and ask for a suite and maybe save a little money. (whoops - not if it takes me out of the tower!)

I can tell you a little bit about the junior suites. They are all located in the wings, where the wings bend (interior corners). They have two sets of sliding glass doors or a patio. Bedding is 1 king and I think either a daybed or sleeper sofa. The bathroom is oversized. It is really just one huge room. :)

Thanks for taking time to reply-I appreciate it! If anyone else has a thought they would like to add, I would appreciate that as well!

mmluvr, if your $243 is a before-tax price, then you could move to a tower room for just another $8 a night. Rooms are still pretty big - depends on if you have kids with you or not.

It was always the Tower that fascinated me as a kid - seeing the monorail cruising right through the lobby was amazing to me. And with a room no lower than the fifth floor, the views have to be ultra-cool from the tower rooms.

Hi-

I am paying $243 a night (including tax). The tower room is a nice idea but I prefer the idea of a bigger room with a fridge and the wet bar area. (We also have a four year old-warning for anyone going when we are!!!) I am also ultra sensitive to noise and I understand that some noise from the monorail/concourse area can be heard in the rooms.

I am thrilled to know I will be driving up to the Contemporary and unpacking my bags to stay there!!!!!! (We've visited the resort many times to eat at Chef Mickey's or The California Grill-In fact I had an excellent table at The Califonia Grill last Feb for my birthday-it overlooked the MK and I cried when the lights were lowered and the fireworks started!!! Pure birthday magic!) For all I care, we could be sleeping in the dumpster at the Contemporay and it wouldn't bother me because it would be the dumpster AT to the COntemporary!!!!! (Please don't tell the room assigner I would consider that for a room assignment :-)!)

Thanks to all of your for your opinions-they are grately appreciated!!!!
