CR article in Dallas travel section today

My first trip was summer 1973. I was 27 and I took my then 16 year old sister. We stayed at the Contemporary wing for $29 per night. We had a blast. It was the first trip for both of us....
35 years later I am still going at least once a year...

"With four theme parks a monorail ride away and the Downtown Disney entertainment area on the bus route, it's not surprising that attractions at the hotel are limited."

Since when are all 4 parks accessible via the monorail? :confused3 It seem someone is writing off their trip to WDW as research for their income tax.

My first trip was in 1978 and my parents chose the Contemporary spending about $70 per night and they thought they that was a lot:rotfl2: .

At the bottom of the article, there is an interesting comparison of "Then" and "Now", which lists $30 per night rooms and $1.95 breakfasts back "Then".

I remember motels such as the Holiday Inn running around $12 a night back then, so compared to that the CR still cost a lot!
