CP to fulltime?

I was just wondering, how common or typical is it for a person to do multiple CPs, do a PI, and then get asked to be full time? My dream is to work for Disney full time and I was hoping to hear personal experiences/stories.

How likely is it for this to happen?

Thanks,

Carrielee

I'm in the same boat of wanting to do to a PI and go full time, but I needed to finish school. I just opted to going seasonal and eventually work my way up to part time (planning on transferring to UCF) and work while in school. And then crossing my fingers, apply for full time status.

That sounds like a pretty good plan as well.

Thankfully with my AP credits and summer school, I'm a semester ahead, which helps quite a bit.

My CP ended on 1/4, and today I got a call from casting that I got part-time in my location!! So a little less than 3 weeks after my program ended and I got the call! I officially start PT on 2/13. :)

I knew I wanted to stay, and so I got an apartment with friends and asked for seasonal, and got put on the waiting list for part time or full time (I'd take either). I went home for a few weeks to visit (am still home now, but going back next week). Super excited, and I got the location I wanted! XD

Well since i graduate this May in Management im crossing fingers to get selected to the Management Internship or the PI and then going full time... if not as a backup plan ill be doing a second CP then the same as the beginning.

When you say you asked for seasonal, did you put in an application? I'm wondering what the process is for going for full time after the CP. Does one have to go through PI first, to be considered?

Nope, not at all. 4-6 weeks before the end of your program, go to casting and ask to be put on the full-time/part-time waiting list for whatever you want. I put in for ft/pt at 5 different attraction locations as well as for character attendant.

As for seasonal, it's all done through your managers in your location. Around the same time I went to casting, I asked my managers about going seasonal, and they said more information would be coming soon. Pretty soon after that, there was a sign in my breakroom about CPs who wanted to go seasonal to talk to one specific manager. And for the most part, as long as you meet transfer guidelines (4 points or 1 reprimand in the past 6 months) you will probably get seasonal. But it really all depends on your area and your managers.

Ahh, so exciting!

BTW...I remember you from the teen boards forever ago...
