Hi, we are a family of 4 (two kids are 14 and 11 at the time of sailing). Looking at the All Terrain Buggy and snorkel at Punta Sur vs. Dune Buggy and Beach Snorkel Combo. Both are about the same amount of time and around the same price, looking for personal experiences on which to pick.
THANKS!:thumbsup2

My family (including two girls ages 15 and 12) did the dune buggy excursion in November and had a great time.

Good mini-tour of the island and fun beach stop.

I can't compare to the ATV, but I can give this one thumbs up.

Thanks so much! We were leaning more towards the ATV, hoping someone comments on that. I was wondering if the "face covers/bandanas" that you are asked to wear are annoying/hot for the time period on the ATV/buggy's. The pics on the Disneycruiseline website show people wearing them. Hoping a few others can chime in to help us, our window opens soon.
Thanks!

Bump

What are the main differences between these two? If you have done either of these recently, what did you think?

Thanks!!

Hi

We did the Dune Buggy maybe a year ago when kids were 9 ish. Had a good time. Little odd driving down the roads of Cozumel in a dune buggy, wearing a helmet, etc. but definitely different. There were a couple of stops before the beach snorkel that had fantastic views, interesting history, etc. The beach itself was nice. The swim to the reef we snorkeled on was a few hundred yards each way and a bit much for some people on our tour. The reef itself was great, though if you snorkel the Caribbean a lot, it is similar to a lot of others you'll see.

There was a place to buy lunch after the swim or you could hang out on the beach.

All in all a nice time. Not "WOW!!!" but good and different kind of fun.

I believe our kids were too young for the ATV thing.

Hope this helps.
