Covid test before disembarkation?

My husband has become consumed by the idea that we must be covid tested before disembarkation. I told him that I think he’s wrong but he insists this is the straight truth from a friend. Is testing required at disembarkation?

Has DCL started this? Last I checked it was only for unvaccinated passengers (children) and only on cruises of 5+ nights.

I think they will do it for those who need it. Not required by DCL, but unless non-US people are staying extra time in the states or testing at the airport, they have to have it, so they can AFAIK. May be a charge for them though.

Hmm...maybe they've changed their stance. At one time there had been wording something to the effect of only unvaccinated passengers would be tested, no tests for vaccinated even if they paid. But I don't find that now so hopefully someone who has done it will respond to confirm.

AFAIK DCL isn't doing it for international travelers, they are on their own to get any required test on land before returning home. That certainly was the case for a while, though perhaps they have changed their policy.

Just to clarify, while Disney is testing all unvaccinated guests (i.e., kids), they do reserve the right to test anyone else at their discretion, e.g., if you come down with symptoms or have a close contact on the ship who tests positive. So just because you are vaccinated does not mean there is no scenario in which you wouldn't have to be tested before leaving the ship. Not that it is common practice (far from it), but it is possible.

We asked at concierge desk on Dream last week (12/10) and they will not test international travellers and was also told this is not currently being considered.
There is testing at MCO and appointments are available as well as walk up if available - the area scared me as so many people and they bring out results in batches but occasionally one pax would be singled out by another nurse (I hope as inconclusive test as don't like the other option having been in the vicinity of these people 30/40 minutes awaiting test results)
