We hadn't planned on going to WDW this year so I've not been in plan and research mode. Now we are going in a few months and I need to get up to speed on the new way of doing things. Do we have a thread already going for strategies and tips and new processes for 2021?

1.) Based upon a recent media report, don't skip the temperature check station. That's a one way trip to Arrest-ville.

2.) Pack your patience and good footwear too. The reports right now are lots of long, socially distanced lines. That makes for long waits and even more walking than normal.

e.) Because you are going in a couple months, bring multiple masks for each day. My DW has packed 18 cloth masks per person for our 6-day trip with an additional 20 paper masks. I told her it was overkill. The DW turned to me and shot a glance. And let me tell you, if looks could kill, I wouldn't be reply to this thread.

Good luck and happy ADR hunting.

Make your park reservations ASAP; a ticket does not guarantee you entrance to a park without the additional theme park reservation. Some dates are already "sold out" for some parks into June.

Mentally prepare ahead of time that touring will be very different. Wait times were extremely long when we were there. Even at "rope drop" we waited 70 minutes for Slinky Dog. Mobile order as early as possible to ensure you will be able to eat when you want. Even if the restaurant you want to eat at is open be prepared for a very limited menu. And note that they may close early. HS was open til 8 but multiple restaurants closed by 5. Check for reservations day of if you can't get any before. We got 2 skippers canteen lunch ressies the day of. We used a 2 and 2 reservation that overlapped times one of the days and the host was able to combine them for us. We we prepared to not have shows and character meets but I really wasn't prepared for just how much different it would feel. I think if you have the right mindset going into it, you will have a good time.
