Do beds on the wonder have fresh coverlets for each family or do you share the top blanket with the last dozen families that used your stateroom?

As far as I know, when the room is turned over between cruises all the linen is replaced. I doubt that they would keep the coverlet on top of clean sheets from cruise to cruise.

I really wish someone that KNOWS the correct answer to this question would answer as I have doubts that they do change out the coverlet and would like to know for sure one way or the other.

Hotels do (not change the blanket). The top blanket is only replaced when it has been soiled. Do the beds have thin top coverlets or full on blankets only?

I absolutely agree!
Especially when someone posts "as far as I know" but without stating why they know that or who they heard that from, it is just supposition, or guessing!

Beds on the wonder have duvets, so no blanket. One would think and hope they do replace the duvet covers at least once during the cruise and absolutely between passengers! :):crazy2:

But there is a decorative blanket that sits at the end of the bed on top of the duvet during the day. It's either red, yellow, or blue. At night turndown it either gets folded up and put up in the cupboard, or sometimes put on the sofa bed if that is in use. I would be very surprised if that gets changed out at guest turnover.

If they're full size (take up a whole load to wash) blankets I assure you they are getting washed only when soiled (not between guest change).
If it's a thin top cover over the blanket it is (and again the blanket is not).
I've spent too many years in hospitality to blindly assume otherwise.

Like PP said, the DCL blankets at the end of the bed are removed in the evening and put away. I have seen stripped beds on debarkation mornings, so they have to wash the white duvet, right? There's nothing left on the bed so where did it go? Oh man, I hope they are washing it.
I hate the red pillow on my bed, gross that is not washed and I don't want it on my bed. I tell my room steward on day one to not put it on the bed, to just leave it on the sofa all week.

I hate the red pillow also and I also hate the blanket at the end of the bed. Next time I will tell the room steward not to touch them things. Leave the red pillow on the sofa and leave that dirty blanket put away.

I also hate them. We tried putting them above the sofa but the steward kept putting them back on the bed. I finally hid them in the closet and they were no longer put on the bed :-) Next time I am putting on sign on the bed saying "do not make beds" and hope that works...

Then call DCL and ASK instead of asking on a public message forum. Your rudeness was not necessary.
Agreed.

The beds are triple sheeted and so my presumption is that the sheets are at least washed between guests. I'm sure the pillow, duvet and scarf are likely not.

If I were concerned I would remove them from the bed for the duration of the cruise and request a freshly laundered duvet for between the sheets.

The only way to know for sure is to personally stalk the bedding and see it go in and out of DCL's laundry machines.

I have always been skeptical about the washing of the colored blankets (and don't get me started on the disgusting pillow-I'm on Team Hide it in the Closet). However, on our EBPC cruise in October, I was aware on at least one, maybe 2 occasions when I saw plastic bags full of them in the hallways, leading me to believe these were either clean or dirty and being swapped out. I also believe the duvet covers are definitely cleaned between guests. It seems to me that's the point of switching to the duvet from the old spreads. They always look crisp and fresh. I noticed ours was always changed after any little mark appeared.

I do not know the answer to your question, however if for whatever reason you really do need it washed I would ask the room steward directly to do so regardless of the answer you get. Even the nicest of hosts /may/ not do what they are supposed to 100% of the time - asking for one they are certain has been cleaned might be worth it! :)

If the OP is speaking of the decorative strip thing, nobody sleeps with that on them?
Maybe people put their feet wearing shoes on it if laying on the bed quickly, but who wears shoes when taking a nap? The red pillow I get would be used again and again, but swapped out occasionally. Don't most hotels have those dumb pillows or cushions you would never sleep on in front or above the regular pillows?
And speaking of regular pillows? Does anyone know how often they get changed out or cleaned?
All of that drool and sweat, the kid that threw up a little after too much iced cream, dirty greesy hair seeping into the pillows?

Your statement of presumption is far better than as far as I know. You do not know, and neither does the other poster since they have not qualified their post, so best to not say as far as you know, because if you do not know, you know nothing?

I would think laundering a complement of 1250 cabins worth of duvet's is beyond the ships abilities.
I would hope they just change the duvet covers as per most hotels.

As for the pillows...I bring a pillow protector and have the host put it on the pillow and a CLEAN pillow case. I never thought that they didn't change out the coverlet at the end of the bed. I use it to nap...I'll make sure that is switched out it before using.

And to add...why do people come into a thread and add nothing other than to attack a poster/post. really?

When we have taken cruises longer than 7 days, I have actually asked the room steward for a new coverlet still in the bag from cleaning. I agree about the pillows -- nasty. Sometimes we have actually asked for a flat sheet to put over the couch because of some odd stains left on there. It can become OCD -- but we all know what these places can look like under a blue light LOL
