Couple tid-bits & so-so rumor from last trip.

First the rumor: After the new stunt show opens in MGM, Indy show will be "phased out" and finally closed.The Indy ride will take its place. Disclaimer: Source was a Friendship Captain.

Info: Approx 43000 trees were toppled by the hurricanes.

Epcot: The additional fireworks display they are doing after Illum will knock your sox off if you like BOOMERS. Great holiday addition.

DVC: The Merry Mixer was a nice extra. No sales pitch.No fee. Nice key ring gift. Very nice door prize. Cookiies and drinks were great. Hope it does become an annual event.

We used Disney transport more this time then in years past. Are the bus drivers holding a grudge from the contract fiasco ? Or have they always been this slow ? With the exception of one driver, I don't think our buses ever went faster then 30 mph.Would not turn on red. SLOWWWW loading of HC. Did not seem interested at all in chatting with guests. Maybe it's always been this way and I've just forgotten.

Oh..... Stictches Great Escape sucks.

Viking, I hope they do the mixers next year as we are planning a Christmas trip to VWL in 05. As far as the busses go, we had a very chatty driver in October. She complained to DH about the long hours of manditory overtime that Disney is making them do now, ect. The next day we saw "Disney is Hiring Bus Drivers" in a huge ad in the Sunday Sentinel. Maybe they are trying to hire/train more drivers to relieve the workload and boost moral...let's hope so. Glad you had a good trip, Happy Holidays...Lacee
