Counter Service @ Epcot

I love the Fish & Chips from the Rose & Crown Pub. You can get them at the take out window now. Thats usually where we end up for lunch.

We are pretty un-adventurous so we almost always end up eating at The Liberty Inn -- but the food court in the Land looked pretty good. We checked it out but all we ended up buying was desserts :earboy2:

We actually really liked our sandwiches at the Electric umbrella (?). We had the beef one and the turkey (I think). Really good, and huge, should have shared.

Go for the fish and chips in Britian..........get your food and sit in the back with a nice relaxing view of the lake.

We ate at Liberty Inn. We all loved the food. If we had been in Furture World we would of ate at the food court. It was packed though when we did end up over there. Good luck !!!!

we ate at marakesh for the first time this trip at and it was really good, hubby and teenage son had the lamb sandwich which was like a gyro but they liked it better, youngest had a cheeseburger, and i had the chicken plate which was chicken, hummus, couscous, tabouleh and bread, we enjoyed it, the only bad thing is they don't have ac so there was no cooling off. last year we ate at the electric umbrella which was really good also.

We had good nachos at the mexican food counter....can't remember the name now. It is right on the water in the Mexico section.

tangerine Cafe! Oh my gosh, SO YUMMY! It's in Morocco, and has a great selection of Moroccan food at a good price for what you get. YUM!!!

We ate at the Electric Umbrella and it was fine standard food, the kids ate at the Liberty Inn and they liked it fine. I didn't really care for the San Angel Cantina in Mexico. I've lived in Mexico and it wasn't really good Mexican food... I can't recall seeing flour tortillas in Mexico :confused3 .

The pastry place in France though had WONDERFUL food and (if you can believe it at WDW) GREAT coffee. I had a cheese plate that was to die for, it came with grapes and a baguette as well...oh la la. My son LOVED the ham and cheese quiche. My Mom had a tasty French Turkey Sandwich we she tought was very tasty. The desserts were FANTASTIQUE! I had the chocolate mouse and my mom and son order Napoleans we all shared and they were all delicious.

I'll second both Sommerfest in Germany (DH's favorite) and the Boulangerie Patisserie in France!

Well, I guess it depends what kind of food you like, but we love Yakitori House in Japan. I could eat there every day.

Epcot really does depend on your likes and "adventuresome-ness"

I have eaten at every place except the new Sunshine Seasons (but it looks GREAT!). You really won't go wrong. I would suggest against Lotus Blossum Cafe ONLY because most towns have Chinese take-out that is a little bit better. It is good, though. If you like Asian-inspired dishes, check out the Yakitori House. Tangerine Cafe is probably the most adventurous, but it is VERY good and arguably the most healthy option.

Something my family does is to stop by each place and get one or two small meals and share them. That way, everyone gets a little bit of everything, and you can experience different foods, possibly finding new favorites.

Our usual food itinerary:
1. Arrive early after a small breakfast (i.e. a pop tart or cereal bar).
2. Hit up FW East for the time between park open and WS open
3. Travel to Canada and UK. Grab an early lunch of the Patisserie and Tangerine Cafe.
4. Stop by Yakitori House after this.
5. See America, Italy.
6. Get a Pretzel and Brat in Germany.
7. See China.
8. Get School Bread in Norway and a Churro and Margarita in Mexico.
9. Hit up FW West, having dinner in The Land.
10. Evening snack back in the UK of Fish & Chips, and stake out a spot between UK and Canada to watch Illuminations.

Magical Eating! :earboy2:

VERY HELPFUL information!! :bounce:

Thanks I was just trying to find a place to use some of our counter service meals..... I guess i have plenty to choose from!!

Thanks again!
Planning epcot meals have been my hang up until now.

Some great suggestions so far - I have to give a shout out to "Electric Umbrella" - it gets a bad rap sometimes but I love it.

One suggestion that I haven't seen is a couple of appetizers at a sit-down...I've often found a good lunch at San Angel Inn having the Queso Fundido and the Soma or Nachos. For about the same price as a counter service meal, you get the best food in the place (at San Angel the apps rock, but the entrees aren't so good), a neat place to get out of the heat, and something different besides the normal fast food.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll love it!
