if someone goes for a "breakfast platter" what else are you allowed with it on the counter service ddp - a drink and pastry?

If just go for waffles what else are you allowed with it - drink and pastry?

Thanks

If you choose a 'meal' for your counter service breakfast, you get two drinks with it (one hot, one cold) - although I have read reports that this is a ibt hit and miss and not every place allows it. If you got, say, a breakfast sandwich from somewhere like Main Street Bakery, I think you are allowed a pastry and two drinks also.

Most places won't reinforce the hot and cold. If you are getting refillable mugs you might be able to take two sealed beverages with you for use later in the day and drink from your resort mug with your meal. They seem to be more sticky about what you take in terms of cold drink combos though. Many don't care as long as it is a qualifying drink. Some make you take a juice as one of them, others will allow 2 sodas, coffee and soda, or coffee and juice ..... however you wish to mix it up.

Last year we never had to have a hot and cold drink, we always took two cold drinks and kept 1 each to use in the parks :goodvibes

I think they realise that a 10 year old is still a child but has to be on the adult plan and is not likely to want a cup of coffee for breakfast. I don't want to say everywhere is like this because I haven't eaten at all the CS places, but I would think that what you say is more likely to be the rule, rather than the exception. :)

At main st bakery we got the savoury egg/cheese croissant and a cake and a drink for 1 CS.

At the resort we got the platter and 2 drinks for later and used our mugs.

Best CS breakfast was Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD.

Sorry I forgot about the second question in the first post.

Waffles are served with something, usually bacon and/or sausage or sometimes with fruit. They count as a full breakfast as well so you also only get 2 drinks with it, i.e. no pastry.

We found they would only let us have our breakfast platter and two drinks. I tried to get a breakfast croissant, a juice and some grapes - but they said no to the grapes and said two drinks. Yet in the evening - the same counter service credit could get us a Chicken Parmesan (breaded chicken with tomato sauce & spaghetti) a side salad, a dessert and a drink. CS credits do not balance well when used on breakfast - try looking at the snack options available.

As there were four of us and we were at POFQ, we would oftern get maybe two CS breakfasts (with the four drinks) and I would have a bagel with philladelphia and my daughter would have beignets using two snack credits (also cereal with a milk classed as a snack credit)

(we were on QSDP on this trip and had 38 snack credits and about 14 CS left at the end - although goofys took a hammering for using the snacks up!)

As someone else mentioned though - Wolfgang Puck - their breakfast pocket was amazing - cannot recommend it highy enough for counter service meals! We are staying at OKW this year so know we are just a short boat trip to DTD

Ziippy99 has just confirmed the complexity of the credit redemption with CS. This is why you need to ask. Some places will give you an outright no to a request to order any combination other than the by-the-book specification. Often this is more to do with the CM you speak to than the actual restaurant policy. This is the reason that you need to ask.

for breakfast we would use a snack credit to get a muffin and have a coffee with our mug, save our credits for meals later on
