Costco Gift Cards

I need to get a $25 gift card for a gift for next week. I called Costco today and they said you need a memebership to purchase one..which is odd since the person redeeming it should have the membership. Anyway, since that is the case, I am assuming that I am out of luck. Oh, nobody I know has a membership.

sometimes you might recieve a free shopping pass to shop there, ask around, maybe someone saved theirs? Or call Costco Customer Service

That is true - you need a membership to do any shopping at Costco. That is the first thing they scan at the register (and at my Costco, you have to flash your membership card to get through the door). Maybe you could purchase one at the Customer Service desk (the same place you go in the store when you purchase your initial membership)?

what about an american express gift card? that could be used at costco since they take american express.

don't know if the code still works but back in sept the code for waiving the purchase fee was

Yes I got a guest pass in the mail not too long ago. Maybe you can call and request a guest pass to be sent to you?
