Mom has started to become a fan of Correlle Dinnerware and I would like to know if anybody has some? Correlle Dinnerware is amazing and destined to last a long time and their dinner plates and bowls are good quality too

My Mom used Correll dishes in her later years. They were lighter, easier for her to handle. My sister also has them. They're durable too. My daughter is moving into her first apartment for college this year and I bought her a set.

I have 2 sets. One is Wisteria which is 30 years old, and a set of Country Cottage that I bought when I got remarried 25 years ago. I had one small plate split in half in the dishwasher years ago, and Corning replaced it. I love it, it doesn't craze, is pretty unbreakable unless you drop it and it hits at exactly the right angle. It washes well, and the designs are still bright and clear after all these years. There used to be a Corelle Outlet in MD, which I see if now permanently closed, but when I bought my set there, it was a full set. Dishes, bowls, serving bowls, platters, placemats and even coasters.

I’ve been using mine for more than 25 years. One small plate broke in the microwave ~5 years ago but the rest are in good condition and used daily. My mom’s set was older than mine.

I have used Corelle dinnerware for decades. I did have a lovely set of Pfaltzgraff, but it was so heavy that it pulled the cabinets off the wall in my kitchen. The set of Corelle that I have now is Secret Garden. I also have added various sizes of bowls. The one thing I would caution is that if you put Corelle in the dishwasher and set it at the highest heat and drying setting, it will cause the pattern to fade off. This happened to my daughter's Corelle.

I actually just bought a plain white set a few years ago because the plates are light enough for me to carry them. I have arthritis and my hands are no longer strong enough to manage the heavier sort of stuff out there these days. I wish they had more selections of artwork but the white works just fine.

I fondly remember my Mom's Corelle pattern from when I was a kid! I have some plain white divided plates and the Mickey ones in dessert and luncheon sizes:

I started using Corelle in 1990 because our first house had an old porcelain sink and no dishwasher (or a place to put one without major renovations.) I was breaking too many of my good dishes and needed something more durable. I liked it so much that when we moved I ended up buying more because I now hated the old pattern but loved the dishes. My nicer set (not china) now gets pulled out only on holidays.

I love Corelle and bought it for my DD when she got her first apartment but if you are actively using vintage Corelle, be careful as they have tested for a high level of lead in their paints that can leech if there are any small cracks or chips.

We bought a set for use in our RV. So that we would have some "nicer" dinnerware (that is rugged) when having guests.

I do have them. I was just thinking I need something new cause these darn dishes never break and I’m kind of sick of the pattern. I’ve had them for years Then I get over it and think I’ll keep them. They do stack nicely in the cupboard and are light.

I'm surprised you all have a good experience with Corelle. Several decades ago, I accidentally dropped a bowl and it exploded into hundreds of sharp slivers. That was the end of my relationship with Corelle.

We have the exact same pattern. Ours is 16 years old, we got them for our wedding shower. Interestingly my sister lives in London and she has the exact same set.
Corelle stopped producing that pattern in 2021. So, finding replacements is hard.
