Which cities and towns are completely locked down? Where people are not allowed to leave their houses.

Maybe it’ll help spread out crowds at least a little bit? Compared to cutting hours, which seems like it would consolidate crowds more. Although, there’s probably not much difference between a regular crowd and a slightly less dense crowd when it comes to the parks.
In the same boat...our DVC trip is April 23-30...Boardwalk Grand Villa (800 points...It's hard to think about losing that many points, some would go back into use year as we borrowed, but the majority would go in holding to be used with 60 days)...as a family we will take a hard look at 31+days out...
So is how DVC treats. It's owners? Dvc members should be allowed to cancel and points go back into accounts to be used when their ready not Disney.
It can't work like that. There is a set amount of inventory and a set amount of points. If people could cancel last minute and get all of their points back units would be left empty. Then you'd still have set future inventory but too many usable points. (super simplified explanation)
I'm not going to get into an argument over this, especially since it doesn't sound like you're even an owner. I am. I have three contracts and a trip with a large amount of points coming up next month. I may end up eating those points but that's a risk that I understood when I purchased my contracts.

Well...DVC does have rules and as a member, I’m aware of them and abide by them. I don’t feel that they are treating their members badly by having rules. In fact, DVC is very good to their members, and often times make exceptions to the rules even when they don’t have to. But, I’m not entitled and I would never blatantly expect them to bend the rules for me. If you cancel within 30 days of the reservation, your points go into holding and you have to book something for travel within 60 days. If its more than a 30 day cancellation, you get all your points back, but they have an expiration date relative to your use year. And I borrowed a some points from my future use year that will remain in the current use year if I cancel so I would have to use them within this use year. I will consider all of this when making my decision to go, or to cancel/postpone. I knew the rules when I bought...and I will abide by them. And...I love my DVC membership! No regrets.!
