Looking to go back next August, just DD and I. Want to stay on site again to get the free DDP available at the moment.

We stayed at POFQ and Poly this year and considering another split stay between Coronado Springs and Wilderness Lodge. We had a look around Wilderness Lodge when we ate there this year and it looks an amazing resort and frequently gets good reviews. However, can't afford 2 weeks there and need 1 week in a moderate. I quite like the look of Coronado Springs as the pool looks fun. Has anyone stayed there recently? If so, was it a good resort and the Disney transport ok as we won't have a car? Any recommendations on which building/area to request? If you wouldn't recommend this resort then I would return to POFQ for one week.

We were at CSR a few weeks ago and loved it. We booked it again for Aug/Sept 2008. We stayed in the Cabanas 9A and plan on requesting it again. It was a short walk to the Main Pool, a short walk to the food court and we had a quiet pool in our building. It's a pretty resort with nice lush landscaping and it was quiet. We enjoyed the pools and we all went down the slide. It has the biggest hot tub on property. We rented a car so we did'nt use the transportation, but I've heard good things about it because CSR is a Convention Hotel and many guests are in meetings during the day, although I only saw a couple of guests that looked like they were there on business. I've also heard that CSR is one of the first bus stops when leaving the parks. The resort is large but there is interior transportation to take you around if your room is further away. Linda :)

We were there last month and the buses were great, never crowded, the conventioneers didn't bother us at all, it is a large resort though bt we often jumped on a golf cart to get around. I'm afraid we still prefered POR though!

We visited some of the resorts last year while we were staying at the AKL. Although it was a beautiful resort and they very kindly upgraded us to one of the best rooms they have (We were there when it was quiet in January), there was nowhere to go during the evening, walking with small children. There is nowhere as such to walk, apart from a little area outside and the beautiful lobby!!!!

We visited both the CS and the POFQ & POR. Far and away we prefered the PO to the CS, as we felt it was lovely to walk between the 2 resorts, get the boat to DD at night etc.... Infact we leave tomorrow night for the POFQ and I can't wait. I'm really pleased with our choice and am looking forward to it more than if we were at the AKL! Before we visited these resorts I always thought I'd chose the CS over the other moderates, but I was so glad we'd taken the time to visit as I would have been really disappointed.

That is our personal choice though, I know there are many others who will prefer the CS.

We have chosen CS for next year mainly bacause of the great reviews I have seen on a number of Disney sites. The fact that it has been voted as having the best pool of the mods on the Dis and a food court that is said to be excellent swung it for us. I have two teenagers and they just werent interested in PO at all. We all wanted a hotel that was bigger than either of the two PO resorts and a little extra. I hope I have made the right choice. I think I have as the reviews I have read in recent weeks have been excellent!

Hi there,

The resort is fantastic, we stayed there in 04 and found it to be a great resort. The resort bus stops were very handy although a walk to the resort centre was only 5-10 mins max. The area I would ask for again was the Cabanas 8b, if memory serves me right. All in all the resort is fantastic.

PS, We are lucky to have the Wilderness Lodge as our home DVC resort, again a great resort. Have a meal at the Whispering Cannyon, just don''''''t ask for ketchup.

got back from CSR last Sunday...it's a huge resort !

Buses were always pretty good though very crowded in the evenings. Travelling time on buses was good...we seemed to be close to most of the parks. The dig Site pool and hot tub were great but we only used them a few times...preferring the quiet pool....much warmer!!

We were in the Ranchos 7a area...pretty much as far away from the food and reception as possible.

Restaurant was average, food court was small for the resort size and usually had huge long lines to get served or pay.

We did enjoy our stay but overall I would choose POR...more atmosphere.:)
