Could someone clarify the Pepper Market procedures for me....like Pepper Market For Dummies? OK--I get you show up, get cards from the cashier(ask for a to-go if you are not eating there inside), then?? do you get a table then order then???do you get your own food and bring back to the table or does the waitress bring to your table by using a number or ??? The waitress gets refills and napkins??I am very confused and would love a step by step for dummies explaination:teeth:

Also--Anyone have experience with food allergies at the Pepper Market? DD(10) is allergic to eggs, peanuts, tree nuts...and now soy(yay!...) Are they good about allergies or no? I realize CSR has an outside food service which makes me a little concerned. I know WDW food service is great and so is the food service at the Swalphin. TIA:goodvibes

FYI--I am planning on a full court BEGGING *IF* we can get a FD pin or general FD for the last week of Oct so I need to be armed and ready when DH starts dropping those bombs. Need to be able to deflect each and every missile mid-air so that he will be convinced that CSR will be doable for a vacation to WDW on the "cheap"--which of course is relative.....

A quick note about food allergies. I have food allergies and tell the server, usually the Chef or Chefs assistant will come to your table and discuss your allergies with you and will expain everything that you need. I was nervous our first trip, but I am SO impressed on how they accommodated us.

To I have to come there and separate you two? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:scared1: No way! That's another person to add to the schedule to share the hammock. :lmao: Plus, we were sharing, just like good little kiddies! Now, if you want to come and observe to make sure we're lounging just perfect, that's another story!

Yep, Kathy, you do! You're gonna have to make 2 CSR trips this year! :rotfl:

Lidian - I have a 5-yr-old boy, too, and will be traveling with my cousin and her 4-yr-old. Maybe we'll run into you at the pool. :thumbsup2

No, no, no! That's another person we have to share the hammock with then. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl::lmao:

I'm excited for the pool. I'm a bit curious how DS5 will be in the water. :goodvibes And perhaps we'll cross paths during the stay! It would be neat to meet a fellow DISer. :thumbsup2

We were at the reosrt in October and I've never got around to doing a trip report.:sad2: This was our last of the moderate resorts to try with our previous stay at CBR.

The resort is more spread out in the sense the pool is no by the main building and shopping area. However it was very nice you can get food at the pool.

We were in building 3, Casitas. We were right by the main building and had a wonderful view of the fountains from our room. For us it was great!!!! We were directly across from the main pool and a quick walk to the main building.

It did not have as large of a feel to us as CBR. I felt like with CBR everyone was heading to the same "space". At CSR with the pool and main building apart it didn't feel crowded.

It really has a resort feel and the walks between area were relaxing with wonderful views no matter were you were heading. Plus you have your quite pools at your areas too so you may not have a huge need to go to the main pool often. We are there 11 days and hit the main pool twice.

The walk around the beautiful resort made it fell like vacation. It made me want to soak it in and say "I'm actually here" and enjoy every second. I bet you love it and the relaxing feeling it gives!!:thumbsup2

You just described what I've been dreaming of since I booked CSR :cloud9:

Thank you!

By this time on Friday, I hope to be collecting my online check in folder and taking hubby, DS4, and DD7 to the Dig Site... then finding a lounge chair, an adult beverage, and some Siesta Nachos for lunch:banana: Ahhh... I can't wait to visit CSR for the first time. We will spend the afternoon at the pool then head to HDDR! MK on Saturday & Ohana for dinner! Then, BB on Sunday! Only a weekend trip for us this year b/c Sunday night we will drive to Ft. Myers for a week at the beach... warm weather here we come!

Hope you have a great trip. My DH and I are going to be in the Ft. Meyers area from Wednesday until we fly home on Sunday (April 6-10). He has a business trip and I get to see my BFF in Naples. :)

Oh how nice! I'm sure you will love CSR! My 6 year old loved the dig site and the water slide! We did a long weekend trip, and it was fabulous! We weren't ready to leave.

I needed to "hear" that! I was so nervous I chose the wrong resort! I feel better now! Thanx!

We only have 54 days left and looking forward to our first CSR experience! Trip is paid off, room request for DD has been made (Casitas 4 or 5), and DH has even checked up on the resort (he's never checked up on anything Disney related before!). He's more excited about CSR than I am, because it was mentioned switching resorts to extend our stay, and he refused and promised me time at the beach if we left the reservation alone.

(CSR did not have any availability to extend our vacation by 1 day since DH decided he didn't want to drive home on a Friday. We would have to switch our stay to another resort, but DH refused and decided to drive us over to the beach for the night instead.)

I can't wait to try out KatMark's hammock.

Hey, Lidian! We'll be there at the same time - we're 53 days away! You might have to fight me for that hammock! :rotfl:
I will be there around the same time as u! We are at POR for a couple days though. We arrive at CSR on May 27th! If I see two people pulling each other's hair out over a hammock, it will be a great opportunity for me to sneak into the hammock and try it out! Heehee.

The three of you just make sure that hammock is in good shape for when I get there. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hey all - I have a quick question - we will be at CSR May 6th through the 11th and I keep seeing people reference "preferred room requests".

What are these? Can I call and request to be in a specific building on CSR? If so is there any additional costs associated with making a preferred room request?

Oh and lastly - do I need to just call CSR to make this request?

Thanks in advance!

The CSR (as well as the POR-Riverside) now offers "preferred" buildings. These are a "bookable" category and cost $25 more per night. These buildings are located in Casitas 1, 2 and 3.

If you would like to request a specific building whether you paid standard or preferred, you need to have it noted on your reservation. Calling the CSR is not actually calling the CSR; you reach the Central number and they just see the call coming into the "CSR" and answer that way.

I am sure it will be fine as I will be lounging and watching them duke it out! Free entertainment!

Hey now! We agreed to a schedule. But I'll be out early on the 27th, so if anyone is fighting over it, its because they didn't get with Claire&TheBoys to be added to the schedule. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well, a least it will be easy to identify the other DISers. We'll be the ones chillin' in the:rotfl2: hammocks. I know karate people, so back off!!!! Just kidding!

My family and I are heading there middle of October can't wait. This site has been a great help in choosing where and when to go. There are alot of things I still have no idea about but learning as I go along, for instance not knowing you could "ask" for a certain area. My dd will be 7 and is a little fish, so looking foward to the pool, so is there where should I be requesting then. I think my ressie says "water view'

If you want to be near the theme pool, you would want to ask for a building near there. There are also quiet pools as well that are very nice. The quiet pool near the Ranchos is very close to the Dig Site! We were in Cabana 8A which was right at the Dig Site. The Ranchos quiet pool was closer to us than the Cabana's quiet pool.

she's all about the theme pool anything her little heart desires lol its her trip, although one would think i'm more excited than her hehe. Thanks I"ll be sure to let my agent know or will call myself when its closer to that time.

We arrive on May 27th, too! Am I going to have to park myself in the hammock at 5am in order to get a swing? :)

Leaving later on to spend the night at a hotel by the airport. Then tomorrow, off to Disney we go!! Can't wait to be back at CSR! I'll post when I return!!:goodvibes

We are getting really close to our long overdue trip back to CSR:cool1:
I have some questions for those who have been recently:

Are the refillable mugs the same as you get at all resorts or are they specific to CSR? The last time we went, we got a Pepper Market mug not Disney Themed.....

Will they give us a second coffee pot for me to make hot water in for tea in the am? My husband drinks coffee but I drink tea and would like to make both in the room.......

TIA for any help!!
