We will be going here for the first time this summer. I have been dying to stay here but it was always sold out. Sadly this will be my first and only time since we are a family of 5 :(
I cannot wait though.

WE are going the same time as you and cannot wait for the trip. We stayed at CSR back in 2001 and since then from what I have read it's been redone so it's like we are going to a new resort.

Thats awesome! I see you are a mom of boys also!

Hi everyone. I just booked our reservations for our wedding and honeymoon at Coronado Springs! I'm so excited and can't wait. I was wondering if anyone knew if Casitas was not available to request? When I spoke to the lady on the phone I told her that I would prefer to stay in casitas and she said she was under the impression that it was only suites. She put it down just in case but of course told me that it wasn't a guarantee. I was just curious if you knew if this was true and if I should request another area. Thank you. :flower3:

The CM you spoke to has no idea what she is talking about. Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are a new category -- preferred; Casitas 4 and 5 are standard rates (unless you pay for a water view or king) and there are standard rooms available here...we've stayed in Casitas 4 and 5 a number of times.

Thanks so much. We have a King size requested. I was really looking forward to staying in that section. It looks so beautiful. Well it's on the reservations so keep your fingers crossed that when I check in we will get one in that section. :shamrock:

Congratulations to you and your spouse.

Yes, we're 2 people who usually celebrate our anniversary once a year at
CSR and make sure we mention it upon check-in.

And, we have gotten Casitas 4, of course this depends on availability.

Hope you get what you want, all the best..Congrats to both of you :thumbsup2

Thanks. I had them make a note that we are celebrating. I'm really looking forward to staying at CSR. I'm catching up on these boards and looking at the all the beautiful pictures. Can't wait. :)

Yep, as others have said, Casitas 4 is certainly not suites and are at a great location (you see that picture of the Casitas pool, that was taken from Casitas 4. I forgot the room # though :( (I took it at the start of last year's trip). I too wish you the best and hope you really enjoy CSR, I know I love the place.

So much that I pulled the trigger and have moved my previously planned POR reservation over to CSR again. Staying preferred this time, just because I can. I also have a nice new DSLR camera, so those pics I took for the thread can be redone :). Really, this whole post is just for me to say that I'm itching (not literally!) to get back and have a mere 186 days (well, it's 12:13am now, so 185 :p) left to go.

First, you can have your TA put in a request on your reservation.

No, this does not mean you will the furthest away.

There is a bus stop in each section -- Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas.

There is also a laundry by each quiet pool located in each section -- Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas. Depending on what building you are assigned will determine your warlk to El Centro.

Thanks for replying KatMark. I will contact the TA and give them my requests. I have stayed at All Star Music and POFQ before but first time at CSR and sooo looking forward to it. :goodvibes

Well, it's done. I'm all checked in at CSR!!!:banana: 10 days and I'm back in my Happy Place!! :cloud9: And, the boys still have NO CLUE we are leaving next week! Have them convinced that we are going in August with Joshua's teacher!!:rotfl:

I have booked my CSR trip for September 9-16. Couple of questions:

1) I saw dates listed somewhere as to when conventions were taking place. Where could I find that info?

2) I have currently requested a King Water View. My son will be 2 1/2 at the time of travel. I was looking at the preferred rooms but there was no way to guarantee a water view. Any special suggestions that I should make so that we arent located so far away from civilization? I would love to be near the pool and the sand. Just not sure what to request any further than that.

3) I have never stayed at this resort so is there any thing I need to do or see? Anything cool things for my son to see or do? Thanks everyone.

Yes I am but they are older than your boys, they are 14 and 12. Treasure those disney memories. We have been lucky enough to go every year with them and watch them grow thru the eyes of disney. I keep teasing my 14 year old that he needs to find a "disney" girl or he won't know what else to talk about. LOL!!

I am so happy that you are going "home." We will have to be sure to hook up at the resort for coffee or a drink at the pool or something.

You are most welcome.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: I can't wait to see pictures of the boys' faces when they get their surprise.

The conventions are listed on the first or second page of this thread. Please be aware that it is NOT a complete list. This was gathered through research and people letting us know about them.

A preferred room costs $25 more per night; a king is $25 more per night. Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are furthest from the main pool and they are preferred. I would request Cabanas 8A...close to the Dig Site pool and a short walk over the bridge to the main building.

Be sure your son participates in the pool opening ceremony one morning...the kids get a real kick out of it.

For those who have been asking (and any future inquirers), here is the most recent info on packages sent to the CSR:

Packages parcels mailed via USPS will end up with CSR at the front desk, so no charge.
Packages shipped via UPS or Fedex, it will end up with the Business Center and you are charged a fee depending on the weight of the package.

I hope this helps.

the convention schedule is at the begining of this thread.

This is the time we've gone the last two years and will be doing so this year (we'll be at the CSR September 25 - 28...leaving the morning of the 29th). We plan to go to the MNSSHP on that Tuesday (the 27th). We love the crowds at this time of the year...very manageable.

OMG!! We're going September 24th - October 1st...and we're planning on MNSSHP, but haven't been able to find the dates yet....in fact, the WDW site doesn't have park hours listed yet for those dates either, much less dates for MNSSHP... :(

This will be our first time during this time of year, and we're soooo looking forward to it. My partner and I are taking a friend of ours, who lost her husband nearly 2 years ago, and this will be her first trip anywhere without him. It'll be tough, but I think she'll do well.

There is a thread with some dates listed; they aren't confirmed by Disney, but they are pretty much in keeping with last years dates so I am hopeful they are correct.

It is a great time of year to go. We'll probably do a DIS meet at the pool one day while I'm there and I'll let you know when it is scheduled.

That would be awesome...keep us posted, please... :)

Wondering if anyone knows if I ship from Disneystore.com is that USPS??
