Just hit my 10 day checkin! This will be our first stay, cant wait! Thanks again everyone for all the excellent info leading up to our trip! :cool1:

Hope you have a most magical trip. :)

we are all booked for june 27-jul 5th for our 2nd trip to wdw! :yay: It's going to be our 10yr ann. and our girls first time to go (our first trip was our disneymoon)! we (mom and dad) are so excited! We are keeping (trying) it a secret from our girls to surprise them on the way down on our drive! I just printed our ressie confirmation and had a question, Does anyone know what a KS2 means on there? It has our resort csr-ks2? I just wanted to see if it stood for something and be careful not to change it if it is something special? Thanks so much and look forward to reading the rest of this thread! currently on pg 55! lol!:rotfl:

I have no idea what KS2 means -- 2 kids maybe? I have never seen that on any confirmation.

Please don't hestitate to ask any questions if you have them.

Quick question: We are thinking about staying at CSR in Feb of 2012. I'm attempting to run the Princess Half Marathon and thought it might be nice to get a massage after. I read there is a spa at CSR. Has anyone used it? Are the spa services nice there, massages etc. Is it a very "spa-ish" feeling, or just a locker room and a massage table type of thing.

Thanks for any info you can give me on the spa. What info I have found is not very informative and just states "massage, facial, etc.".

Thank you!

No, it is definitely "not" spa-ish" feeling. The salon area is separate where they do hair, facials, etc. The massage rooms are basically two separate small rooms in front of the counter of the fitness center. I go for massages at home once every three or four months at Mario Tricocci which has the steam room, hot tub, etc., for customers to use if they choose to; I've also had a massage at the Grand Floridian which offers all of those services and more (robes and slippers too). And I've had a massage at the CSR almost every trip. Since I get the "fancier" treatment at home, and I just take an hour out of our trip to Disney during the middle of the trip for a massage to refresh my body for the rest of the trip, I don't mind the facilities at the CSR. In fact, the massage services are a little cheaper than the GF and just as good in my opinion. Let me know if you have any other questions.

thank you!!! This is my treat for finishing the race so I think I might head on over to the Swan for their treatments. I was told they are super nice. Thanks for the quick response!

thanks for the response! i have done a little searching and can't find it either:confused3? Anyone else have any clue what ks2 means on my ressie confirmation? (next to the resort name):thumbsup2

We're checking to CSR next week (OMG! Its finally almost here!) and had a few questions I was hoping someone here could answer:

1) If we ship a box down thru USPS, its held at the front desk from what I understand. Has anyone used the flat rate boxes for mailing a box back home from CSR? Can we do that?

2) Using Magical Express (DME? Still learning!) how long should I anticipate that to take? I'm not expecting a cemented time frame but a general idea.

3) We are not checking bags, so if we get to CSR before our room is ready, will they hold our luggage so that we can race off to Epcot like the oversized, access to credit children that we are?? Or should I call and inform them of our expected arrival time? (See above Q, haha)

4) We booked thru a AAA Disney specialist. Can I call CSR or Disney about where our king room is located? We aren't picky, but it seems like a non parking lot view would be more...magical? romantic? all of the above?

OH!

THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP! These boards are always amazing. I've even got my boyfriend addicted. Is there a DIS 12 step program? Or is WDW the only cure??

Can't help you with shipping stuff back, as we drive, so I always have plenty of room!

I understand ME can take anywhere from 45-90 minutes, depending on whether there's a bus waiting for you when your plane arrives and whether you're the first stop or later.

They will hold your bags for you at CSR if your room is not ready yet. If you check in and they say it's not ready yet, ask where the room is located (they won't tell you room number until it's ready for occupancy) and if you think you might like to change, ask if they have any rooms available then. The CM *may* be able to assign you a different room already in inventory.

See above - room assignments aren't for sure until you check in. A king room is usually on a corner and sometimes has 2 windows. You can ask your travel agent to make a request on your reservation to be in a particular section and give another request, like "near the pool." Requests aren't guaranteed, but they try.

Yep, the only cure is pixiedust: -- but it's also the drug! :rotfl: The more you get, the more you want!

Hope your stay at CSR is wonderful!

My first stay at CSR. Stayed in the FW cabins before.

Traveling with DM, and 2 DD(16 and 20). So have decided to go with 2 rooms(really need 2 powder rooms with 3 women), asked for connecting, but would take adjoining.

What are the possiblilities of getting one room with a King and one with 2 beds(we have water view)?

We are on DxDP, so we want nearer the el centro, so cabanas or casitas look like what we are looking for, What are some of the postitives/negatives for each?

/
Couple quick questions about the King rooms :

**I just read that usually Kings are in the corner with possible two windows? Has this been everyone elses experience? That would be fantastic!

** Also, I think I read that the king rooms have a little couch/bed (like at the Poly, sorry cant remember the names of those little beds). If so, is it something my 10 year old could sleep on? It will be hubby and I and our 10 year old. If we can get the king bed and kick the kiddo to the little bed :lmao: that would be great!

Thanks!

If you want Casitas, it would be have to be Casitas 4 or 5 as Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are preferred rooms now.

Did you book a king room as well as a standard room? If not, a king room would be an upgrade.

Personally, I like the Casitas better as I like the courtyards and fountains. However, we were in Cabanas 8A last year and this is now our second favorite location (this year we are hoping to try for the first time in ten years the Ranchos).

I have had a king room in a corner and also not in a corner. No, there are no daybeds at the CSR as they would not fit in the rooms. You will not get a king room with the three of you in the room (they are reserved for two with a child under three).

Hi all -

We arrived at Coronado and entered the lobby that was beautifully decorated for the holidays in typical Disney style. There wasn't much of a wait to check-in, maybe a couple minutes. We got a gentleman who was very nice, but didn't seem to know much about the resort. I had noted our reservation and faxed a request for Casitas 2/3 or Cabanas 9, hoping to be close to El Centro. He said we had a room with a king bed in Casitas 4, I thought it was close enough, so I didn't mention anything. We then asked if our room was a water view room. He looked and told us that water view rooms would cost extra. We tried to get him to tell us what kind of a view we had, he had no clue – he pulled out some maps and tried to figure it out (he ended up being wrong). We asked if there were any other options, he clicked around for a minute then called up someone. He said he didn't have anything for tonight, but could move us tomorrow if we wanted. We said we'd try out the room we got. As I said, he was very kind and willing to try, I just wished he knew more and had more confidence.

One thing I forgot to mention that I thought was interesting was that the CM at check-in told us that they aren't allowed to say a dollar amount. We discovered this as we were trying to split the balance between two rewards cards. We wanted him to tell us the total amount due including deposit, then he informed us that he couldn't say it aloud (so other guests could hear it)... It kinda reminded me of being at a car dealership.

I start my Disney trip at CSR in 3 sleeps:cool1: I am bursting with excitement!!
Pepper Market for Saturday morning breakfast! And it's looking like it will be warm enough to use the pool on Saturday too.
:cool1:
I'll try to check in to this thread while I am there if anyone would like me to report on anything from the resort. Feel free to ask questions!

does anyone know if there is an iphone/ipod dock in the rooms? I know they used to have the jack so you can listen to music, but I need to know if I need an adapter to charge it or if they have docks now. TIA

Our king room was not a corner room like some have mentioned, but it was also a preferred, so maybe there's a difference.

Also, there's no guarantee the package you send down will be held at the front desk! When we checked in, our package was already in the room they had assigned for us. I thought that was weird, but I wasn't annoyed by any means.

Hi,
We're headed to CSR for the first time in a couple of weeks. Do they accept payment for meals there using the Disney Rewards Visa card (not the charge card, the rewards card)?
Thanks!

If you don't have an answer before then, I will check for you on Friday!:)

There was no dock in my room earlier this month, sorry.

We used our rewards card with no problem everywhere on WDW property

Thanks, Glenn&Sharon,
I'd read that the restaurants/counter service at CSR were not Disney owned, so I wasn't sure they'd take the Disney Rewards Visa. Thanks for the good news!

If not preferred what is the best building to request to be near the main building bus stop and main pool? My dd is having surgery before we go and would like to be as close as possible we were suppose to be at CBR but cornados bus stops seem closer from what I recall at the parks and weve always wanted to try cornado

Cabana 9A or even Cabana 8A (Cabana 8 is closer to the main pool, but a short walk over the bridge to the main building).
