Is there a store for pets at Disney World? We got the kids a puppy, and they named her Belle, after Princess Belle of course  Anyway, I was wondering if there was a store that sells pet items (food/water bowls, collars, etc.) So we could get those for their new puppy. We get the puppy Jan. 15th and would love to tie in the Disney trip with the new puppy.

We named our Collie puppy Belle, too!

Just did my online check in for my flight tomorrow!! I'll be flying in less than 24 hours!

I know this topic has been discussed ad nauseaum so please forgive me but my hand is getting numb from scrolling through the thread looking for answers :lmao:

We are staying at CSR for the very first time 1/13 - 1/19. I want to ship down a few things - diapers, a package of wipes, fans (both my oldest DD and myself need the noise of a fan to sleep :sad2:), possibly a few surprises for the girls. Anyhoo - it's not going to be a big box but I know that with CSR being a convention resort, there is a way to ship and avoid the fee but I don't remember what it is.

While I'm at it, can someone supply the correct address to ship to or direct me to it? TIA You all are awesome!! :wizard:

UPDATE: I figured it out. I had to put "Orlando" as the city, instead of "Lake Buena Vista." I just remembered having to do that for WL, too. But for the CR and AKL they are "Bay Lake." Crazy!

My new Garmin Nuvi GPS is not recognizing CSR's address:

1000 West Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-1000

It won't let me input "West" nor "1000".

Anyone have any advice? TIA.

How is Club Rix?

DH & I are considering going out one night & hiring Kids Nite Out for babysitting, but we'd rather not go far and just hang out at the hotel.

If we go during the week, is it really dead unless a convention is going on? How are the drinks?

Hello - We are staying at Coronado from December 19-25. Our first time ever and I'm so excited. I've got my dining reservations booked and I have a couple questions about what is the best transportation method. I need to know how to get:

From CSR to Kona Cafe.
From CSR to Boma.

Also, from CSR to Winter-Summerland.

Also, when we go to Downtown Disney, can we take a bus from Marketplace to Westside, and vice-versa from Marketplace back to Westside? We want to stop at Earl of Sandwich first, then go to Disney Quest, then back to Marketplace later.

Thanks a lot!
Melissa

Hi Melissa,

CSR to Kona at the Poly - Perhaps your best bet is to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then you can take the bus or monorail from there to the Poly

CSR to Boma - You will need to transfer somewhere. Perhaps if you are visiting a park that day you can go from there. We are thinking of going to AK on our Boma night so we willl take a bus from AK to the AK Lodge and then back to AK before the bus to the CSR

Not sure about Winter-Summerland and DtD, sorry.

We will be there in 3 days!!! I'm so excited! Now if we can just get out of here before the snow gets bad! Our flight is Sunday morning and they are predicting snow this weekend. At least it's a nonstop flight. Once we are on it our next stop is Orlando! Yay!!!

I think the address is on page 1 of the thread and I think if you ship through the post office instead of FedEx or UPS you don't get charged but hopefully someone will know for certain.

We just walk from one side to the other at DTD. I love this site for ways to get around WDW though:

It tells you how long it will take as well.

From CSR to Winter-Summerland, you should be able to take the bus to Blizzard Beach from CSR. The Winter-Summerland mini golf is right next to Blizzard Beach.

Have a great trip!

Just wondered if they ever announced where the Preferred Rooms will be?

TIA

Thought I'd post a few comments about our recent short stay at CSR - we spend 11/28 to 12/3 at AKL and then moved over to CSR for Fri and Sat night before leaving on Sunday - so a very short time at CSR. We both liked CSR a lot. We had a room in Casitas 4, room 2146 I think, sort of facing the back/parking area. King bed as requested. Love the decor - the teal/blue, dark wood, etc. just as I had hoped we would get from seeing photos in this thread.

We had lunch on Fri and breakfast on Sat at the Pepper Market. While portions are huge and everything tasted fine, we felt it was horribly overpriced, more so breakfast than lunch. For exmample, for $9.99 at breakfast I had the french toast platter - all premade, sitting there on warming trays under plastic wrap, getting old and stale. At the same time you can get fresh made, infinitely superior french toast from the Grand Floridian Cafe for only $2 more (which I did the next morning). Then you tack on the service fee, etc. and the value just is not there. DW felt the same about her waffle (which at least has the advantage of being made to order). At lunch she had the nachos and I had the fajitas. We easily could have split the 80 pounds of nachos she got. :) Total bill for each meal was in the $27 range for two of us - we can go out to a fairly nice meal at home, sit down, full service, pay full price and tip for that amount. There are places at WDW we don't mind spending the extra theme park premium for, but the Pepper Market is not one of them.

I didn't have enough time to take a ton of photos while at CSR, but once I get around to processing them I'll add them to the thread - they are at the back end of a seven day trip, so it might be January before I get to them. :)

Thanks for the advice. I wondered if we could also use the Blizzard Beach bus to get to Boma? We would just have to get off our CSR bus and wait for an AKL bus, right?

Blizzard Beach is open from 10-5, so if you'd need a bus earlier/later than that, it wouldn't work.

Also, the park will close in the case of cold weather. Check with the front desk about updated park hours.

Thank you so much for this post. We are looking at saving up for a spring 2012 visit to WDW and I am totally in love with this resort. We stayed at POP in 2010 for our first trip, but there were six of us and we got three rooms. The next trip will just be DH, DD17 and her BFF, and I was looking for a slightly bigger room. The queen beds at CSR are what got me started looking, and everything else has me falling in love!

Thank you so much for all the wonderful information!

We plugged in the address too and couldn't get it to show up (luckily for us having stayed there eight times previously we knew exactly how to get there). Sorry I can't help on that.

We found the drinks to be VERY, VERY good. They have their own website. I do know that there are a few nights that they may not even be open. Here's the link for the website: http://rix-lounge.com/

I was told by a reliable source that it will be Casitas 1, 2 and 3 only.

Thanks for the info.

I was really hoping to request a room in Casitas, but my reservation is for standard room. I wonder how hard it would be to get a room in that section?

No harm in trying. We really like Casitas 4 and 5 -- they are our favorites. But Cabanas 8A is a GREAT location (this would be our choice if Casitas 4 and 5 were not available).
