just returned from CSR yesterday. We had a great time. It all started at check-in. At the registration desk. I was told they had a (king bed) room resereved, which we had reserved 2 doubles since it was my son and BF with me. She checked and said no we have a king sized bed and a pull out sofa. I was a little worried, since I didn't want my son to feel slighted since the trip was about him. She then showed me the layout of the room and upon seeing it I snagged it up. It was a HUGE room, living room, kitchenette, 2 full baths a seperate bedroom and a pullout sofa. I noticed after several days the TV had a DVD player. There was several closets for storage. Everyone was extremely happy with the upgraded room. Until nights 2 and 4 when the cheerleaders arrived for the taping of the xmas parade. They where knocking, running, yelling and slamming doors at 1:30am. I got up several times to tell them to keep it down however each time they managed to get into their rooms before I opened our door. ugghhh but we didn't let that ruin our trip. If you are a light sleeper I suggest bringing a noise maker or ear plugs the walls are thin. Hotel staff was nice, the pool was heated, which made my 10 year old son happy. The arcade voucher was about $2 worth and you could play 1 or 2 games for free. Buses where okay. We never really seemed to have a lot of people at our bus stops at the parks however our buses where fewer then the value resorts, I'm assuming because of the volume of people at the values. We managed to get where we wanted in a reasonable enough amount of time. I would recommend the resort. We did however have an upgraded room, close to the main building so it was a really nice experience for our 1st time there.

WOW! You scored one of the best upgrades at the Coronado. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I believe all the rooms in 9B have the DVD Player because those are considered the "Club Level" rooms.

I'm sorry about the cheerleaders making noise at late hours. It seems a lot of people who have recently been there have either had really good bus service or poor bus service...I wonder if it is the time of the year as CSR usually has very reliable bus service. And I'm surprised about the "thin walls" as we've never had a problem hearing anyone next door to us in our nine stays (maybe we've been lucky and had really quiet neighbors).

I'm glad you didn't let any of the unfortunate situations put a damper on your trip.

Got my very first ME luggage tags today for my very first stay at CSR during my very first trip to WDW! Sooo excited!!! :dance3:

When we checked into Coronado Springs last week, there were 4-5 people working the walk up check-in line and only 1 person working the online check-in line. I was maybe 7th in line to check in and was at the front of the line within 5 minutes; the early online check-in line hadn't moved a bit by the time we were done and the folks there were starting to get angry. This was at 10 or 11 a.m., maybe it's better done later in the day, but I just wouldn't check in early.
I've read other posts such as the quote above.
If I've used checked in online but when I arrive I find that the line for online check in is longer and moving slower than the regular line, can I use the regular line? That is, if you check in online, are you committed to using only the online check in?

I would like to know the answer to this as well:santa:

The answer is: you can check-in with any CM. :) The CM just has to walk a few feet to a rolling file cabinet and get your folder; then they complete your check-in! :thumbsup2

Great! If there's a huge difference when we get there, I'll stand in one line & have DH stand in the other, and we'll check in with whomever gets there first! (Yes, I know my ticker says "solo", but after I made it, DH said he wanted to come, and I couldn't bear to start the ticker over again! :rotfl: I will be solo for a couple of days, anyway, since he leaves before I do!)

Good to know... I did online checkin without realizing it might lock us in to a one CM line on checkin.

Thank you. I guess we'll go ahead and check in online. Now I just have to hope inclement weather doesn't prevent us from leaving Sunday.

Keeping fingers crossed that the weather behaves and you get off in time. :)

All packed! Now if tomorrow will get here quickly!!!:goodvibes

I have to go to dinner tonight with my husband and one of his customers. So, if I don't get back on here later tonight, I hope you and your husband have a most magical anniversary trip. Be sure to tell the CSR that you are celebrating your anniversary when you check in and perhaps they will grant you some pixie dust and give you a champagne toast or something else.

Can't wait to hear how you liked the CSR and how your trip went. :)

Hi Kathy and everyone!

I can't believe it... I just booked a trip for my daughter's 16th birthday celebration!!!

So... I've started the countdown! (a year to go... I like to plan ahead!)

Is there a store for pets at Disney World? We got the kids a puppy, and they named her Belle, after Princess Belle of course  Anyway, I was wondering if there was a store that sells pet items (food/water bowls, collars, etc.) So we could get those for their new puppy. We get the puppy Jan. 15th and would love to tie in the Disney trip with the new puppy.

What a great 16th birthday celebration! I am so excited to hear that you are going to CSR. Oh, and we've missed you around here. :)

Yes, you can find stuff like that at most of the "big" stores at the parks and even at some of the resort shops. Our "princess" has a pink "furry" bone that says princess on it; she has a Lady and the Tramp dog food bowl and a Princess water bowl. They have leashes, collars, pull toys, etc., all Disney related (I've seen this at the Emporium, MouseGears, the Winnie-the-Pooh store at Downtown Disney, etc).
