Can anyone give me an idea as to what snack items are available on the dining plan? I know fruit, popcorn, small snack bags and ice cream bars. But we were wondering if the cookies, cakes, etc. at Cafe Rix are included.

Also, what fountain products are available? If I remember correctly, they didn't have Pepsi products (Mt Dew) when we were there two years ago.

Thank you for your help!

No, they do not have Pepsi -- it is Coke products only.

Some of the snacks available on the dining plan at Cafe Rix are: biscuits, muffins, banana bread, small sized gelato, pop tars, cookies, bananas, oranges, apples, yogurt, assorted candies, water, coffee, tea, soda.

Hope this helps.

Hey Kathy, had dinner at your home away from home Saturday night, Pepper Market did not disappoint as usual. Hoping for a split stay next year between CSR and POR. Thought about you and Mark while we walked around and enjoyed the resort!

The use of snack credits is just about the only disappointing thing about CSR. I noticed that items that are a snack credit in other resorts & in the parks are not snack credits at Cafe Rix or Pepper Mkt. The only things you can get for snack cr. here are: Big M&M,Sugar, Ch. Chip Cookies (which my kids loved), muffins, danishes, gelato, sm. boxes of cereal, pop tarts, candy bars, individual pieces of fruit, indiv. bagged chips etc. Other more interesting desserts like cake are not a snack credit. What you can get for a sn. credit is more limited here. That being said, CSR is still our favorite resort & wouldn't stay elsewhere because of this.:)

So excited!!!! :cheer2: Made final payment for our stay (early yay!) and plane tickets are bought. Now if it would just hurry up and get here!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Thanks to all of you for your input! Kids will be thrilled to know that the Cafe Rix cookies are included!:teeth:

If we have a 0845 return home flight, any idea which bus time we will be assigned to go to the airport?

Thanks.

Thank heavens for this wonderful thread! I am really missing the Coronado lately for some reason, even though I know I'll be back soon. *sigh*

I'm glad it did not disappoint! Thank you for thinking of us. Let me know if you do a TR or a review.

I guess my question got glossed over a couple pages back, so I'll try asking again.

Do the CSR Junior Suite-King rooms have a murphy bed or a pull out sofa in the living room? Any pictures of the murphy bed?

The info I've found on WDW.com says murphey, the layout map of the room says murphy, but all the photos/videos I've found show sofa...that I assume pulls out.

Can someone help PLEASE?

Susan

Susan, sorry I missed your post (computer problems for a month and trying to use my son's and keep up with everything).

The junior suites with a king room have a king bedroom/bathroom and the second room it set up like a living room with a sleeper sofa...but the added benefit of a second bathroom. There no longer is a Murphy bed that comes out of the wall.

We've decided to give CSR a try for a Christmas trip this year. thanks to whoever put together "Page 1" with all the wonderful information.

I made our reservations this past Monday, and have been very stressed about the possibility of staying in the Rancho's section (sorry, just not my cup of tea). Well I decided to head over to page one about an hour ago, and see that they offer a Preffered section in Casita's, which is exactly where I would want to stay!!!! I called up Disney, and switched our reservation to this section..................I am so much more relieved now.

I do hope to enjoy the resort, our dates are 12/21 - 12/27................is it decorated nice for Christmas??

How is the Maya Grill?? and is the Pepper Market as confusing to eat at as I have read?

Paying for preferred, you will be in either Casitas 1, 2 or 3...all very close to the main building (food, registration, gift shop, lounge).

I've only done breakfast at Maya Grill and that was when it was a buffet. Like the Pepper Market, people either love it or hate it (I have two friends here on the DIS who have stayed elsewhere their last two trips, and they make a special trip over to the CSR to eat at either the Pepper Market or Maya Grill.

We eat at Pepper Market every trip and have never had a bad meal. It is is a little more expensive than most food courts because it is NOT owned by Disney, but by an outside vendor. I do not think it is confusing at all. You will be taken to a table and given real silverware and napkins; a server will take your drink order. You then take your card with you to whichever station you want to order your food from (Mexican, deli, grill, etc.) and they prepare your food and stamp your card (they'll do this for your dessert choices as well). Once you have finished eating, you grab all of your cards and take them to the register and pay.

Well that sounds easy enough!!! I'm assuming since it's not Disney owned that it's not on the DDP? (this is our first DDP trip, and I'm still trying to figure it out ;) )
