Thanks Capegirl. VACamm, my advice is to walk to Casita bus stop 2 to be the first one on for rope drops or any morning parks. Or request that area.

Hmmmmm that's a great idea actually! Im going to try that

We here now in Cabanas. Bus service hasn't been good at all. This morning we waited over an hour for an Animal Kingdom bus for Early hour park. Three full buses passed us by. Several people called to complain and FINALLY an empty bus was sent. It's 8:30 and still not there. This happened for DTD one night also. People missed ADRs. Disappointing to say the least.

Just curious, was the issue that no AK buses came for an hour or that they came but were full when they got to Stop 1?

I'm just going to toss in my 2 cents worth here ....

We visited during Spring Break :scared1: and the place was full. We never encountered ANY bus problems whatsoever. I think the bus issues are pretty-much a fluke - just like anything else can be.

On any typical given day, the bus service at CSR is great!

I agree. We've stayed at CSR twice at Christmas time, the busiest time of year and the bus service was great.

I was at CSR in August 2011, only mod we stayed at and absolutely hated it. All the deluxes that we stayed at had better bus service than CSR. We waited for 30 minutes under the bus shelter in pouring rain for buses. I honestly think they have the worst bus service we encountered.

I beg to differ... the whole Swan, Dolphin, YC, BC and BW loop is horrible! That is way too many large resorts on one bus!

I stayed at BW and we had to pick up at all those resorts....guess it was just time of year or we caught them at a good time because it was just us (family of 4) and a mother with two kids who got on at Dolphin. No one at Swan, BC or YC. And it was going to MK, a busy park. That is a bad bus loop but it's really not bad at certain times. CSR is probably worst of all the mods.

Question: if we get breakfast at Cafe Rix like muffins etc.... Are there tables around to eat?

Sorry you had a bad experience at CSR, but its generally known on Disboards that CSR has the most consistently good bus service at WDW. The combination of buses coming quick and the short rides because of the central location can't be beat. Our last trip to CSR was at Christmas time for a full 14 nights/15 days, we never waited longer than 10 mins for a bus ever. Most times less than 5 mins. None of the Deluxes can come close to matching this service, they share buses and they don't send as many buses to the resort because they have smaller occupancy and most are using monorail, boat, or walking.

There are a small number of tables inside the Rix Lounge dedicated for Rix Cafe and there are lots of tables right outside.

I totally agree with the fluke thing!! We always had breakfast at pepper market, then caught the bus at stop 1......which us a huge problem to start with since its the last stop!!! The guy working the bus stop area worked really hard to fix the AK problem!!

We never had more than a 10 min wait when leaving parks to go back!!! The only packed bus problems we had were first thing in the morning...and that happens everywhere!!!

Well, waiting over an hour for a bus to even stop at the bus stop is extreme and ridiculous. Also, the front desk and drivers were all aware of it for quite awhile before a bus arrived. Basically all of us at the stop got to the park when EVERYONE could so it took away the early magic hour. It happened another night too just not as extreme for DTD.

That is definitely something that should not have happened!!!

What I can't understand is Why All the Waterpark busses???? Everyone at the bus stop just shook their heads when one came by! It was bus overload

One more thing I forgot to mention was the Pepper Market. The food was great: breakfast and dinner.

We always had a fantastic waitress!!! They were so attentive, and we never felt rushed!

The Beef Burrito was so good (or I was just starving) that I wish I could have one right now!!

We were a party of 10 and I didn't see anyone leave anything on their plates :)

We love the Pepper Market. Awesome value on ddp. The manager--Ken, I think--is so funny and nice. I hope we get to chat with him when we return.

Oh boy, we had the opposite experience last time we stayed at CSR; the bus service was great. It was one of the reason we rebooked at CSR. We had terrible wait times for the bus at the the deluxe resorts, and the values were a nightmare. There seems to be many inconsistencies with Disney's transportation system these days. Probably long overdue for a major overhaul.

Yes, they were very friendly!!!

I'm glad that we finally stayed at CSR, and although it is beautiful, I can't say that we will stay there again...............it truly is HUGE!!!

I read that over and over, but didn't really understand how big it was until we decided to try and find our room (that took a while), then tried to walk from Casitas 2 to the main pool:scared1: That was quite a walk!!!

So we only spent one afternoon at the pool.

Even if we would have gotten a room near the pool, we would have been so far from the food court it wouldn't have helped.

Glad to hear everyone loves Pepper Market... we have to do real breakfast... hubby needs his protein and a granola bar sure won't cut it... so we plan to hit Pepper 1st thing on park days... is it slammed at 7:30 when there is a 9 am park open??
