I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but with over 100 pages I don't have it in me to search...:surfweb:

I am trying to price this resort online and I keep getting a Jr suite King with no other options...all the queen rooms can't possibly be booked for Oct 2011 already, could they? Anyone able to give me some pointers, or do I have to call to get a CM to override the room selection? Thanks guys!!!

I've tried online for the week of 2/27 to 3/7/2011 and can't get a standard room to show up either. I wonder if they hold back standard rooms until so many dates out for groups?

Wow, reading the poster above who mention that the quiet pools close at 9 is really disappointing if true. Does anyone know if that is normal? We love a nice, quiet, late night swim after a long day in the parks. Are the quiet pool hours posted anywhere?

Yeah same for my dates (Feb 26-Mar 3). We stayed at CSR last year during the same time frame and even with a couple of conventions going on it was not full at all. I am hoping they may open up some rooms in a couple of months.

The hours are posted and they do come and put signs all around the pool stating that it is closed. We did see a father and daughter sitting in the pool one night around 9pm when it was closed. The main pool is open all night though with no guards on duty after 10pm.

Three weeks from now we will be on the plane, headed to WDW!!

I didn't see any conventions listed for our dates (9/14--9/23), but I guess that doesn't mean that there aren't any.

I haven't tried online check in yet. I think I will try it for this trip. Our room requests were pretty broad (listed 5 buildings in 2 different sections), but all of the sections look so pretty!

I have a question about eating at the Pepper Market. We'll be on the dining plan and I'm wondering how the 10% service charge works with that? Do we have to pay that out of pocket or is it included in the dining plan? We've used the plan 5 times but this will be our first time at CSR. Thanks!

WOOHOO...this time tomorrow we will be on a plane to CSR....first time staying there, we can not wait....

They probably do and then release them 45 days ahead of time.

Yes, the quiet pools normally close at 9 p.m. (they are very close to the buildings and I think they were complaints of noise). I know that DH has been in the quiet pool after 9 p.m. (security would see it was only him and just tell him to be "quiet"; since I don't think my DH has it in him to do a cannonball anymore, he is safe ;)).

We'll be right behind you. :)

There is a difference of opinion on this. In fact, at one point PM had posted a sign that the 10% gratuity was NOT included. We plan on eating at the PM once during our trip for lunch or dinner, and I will find out for sure if I can. I think the problem lies with the workers who don't know the answer.

32 days till CSR. So excited that bag is already packed and by the door.:cool1:

I love that your bag is packed and at the door already. :thumbsup2

Have a safe trip; and I hope you have a most magical time at DW and at the CSR.

We just got back from CSR on Saturday and ate at PM for dinner on our first night there. Since we were on the dining plan, when we went to check out, the cashier told us that she could not add a tip on to the receipt since we weren't paying for anything. If we wanted to leave the 10 percent gratuity we had to leave it in cash for the waitress, which is what we did.

I love this! Last night I made the first aid/medicine kit, packed a reusable shopping bag (disney one of course!) with our snacks, put a box on the table that I filled with Disney stuff (fans, sunblock, ponchos, etc.) and started getting my clothes ready. I still need to make our autograph books and print confirmation #s and mousekeeping envelopes but I'm getting there. I am a terrible procrastinator so I am determined not to wait until the last minute like last year. Hopefully the only things I will have to pack the last couple of days are clothes!

So we just got back late Saturday evening from our first family trip to WDW (8/13-8/21) and I wanted to say thank you to all of the good people on Disboards particularly the CSR forum that helped answer questions that we had about our vacation.

Unlike others that go to WDW a lot, this is the one big trip for our family (DH, me, DD-9, DS-6) and based on what we read in this forum, we chose CSR for our resort. We couldn't have been happier with the results! We requested Cabanas 8A and did not do online check-in. So we were ecstatic to get 8123 when we checked in! Only four rooms between us and Bus Stop 4 and it really is not that long of a walk to El Centro or the Dig Site.

We grabbed pastries and fruit from Rix cafe quite a few mornings as we headed out to make rope drop at the parks and used the refillable mug at Siestas and at the cafe during our time there.

We never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus with the exception of leaving MK after fireworks one night with everyone else (so it took a couple of buses to get back to the hotel.)

There were two conventions going on during our trip (the Tupperware ladies and some Financial conference) but we never ran in to those folks much. All of the people working at CSR though were very pleasant and we even had a bell hop drive us to our hotel room after check-in with our carry-on bags because it was pouring rain when we go there.

We didn't spend as much time at the pool as we would of liked because it rained on two of the afternoons (we took naps instead) and we ended up spending more time in the parks that we originally thought.

But I have to say we loved staying at CSR and of the moderates, we were very glad we chose to stay there. Thanks to everyone!

We have some unexpected expenses and trying not to have to cancel our December trip...anyway if I go moderate we might be still go. Anyway, is Pop Warner staying at here?
We have a 5 yr old son but we will not be swimming, I want a quite location but not far from the main building, what is the best location? I was looking at 9B but I see its a convention room locations.
Thank you

There had been rumors that Pop Warner would be here last year which I found very odd after they had just rehabbed all of the rooms and with the convention aspect. My guess is that POR will be the back-up again.

We have stayed in Cabanas 9A which is just a five minute walk to the main building. Also, Casitas 3 is very close to the main building...it took me less than 3 minutes to walk there.

Is Casitas 3 a quite area? Do alot of the convention stay there?

Convention guests can be put any where in the resort. We were in Castias 3 for nine nights in 2008 and we never had a issue with noise. Actually, we've never had an issue with noise in our eight stays at the resort.

Well, I booked our trip!
We will be at CSR Dec 2-6th!
Looking forward to it as it is our first stay at this resort.
Had to book 3 king rooms, as no queens were available.
Only request was that the 2 rooms are close to each other and not buildings away. Hopefully that is possible with 2 king rooms - as I don't know how those are spread around the resort....

Thank you, my head is just spinning b/c my husband just emailed me saying we might have to cancel and I'm trying to came up with numbers so we can still go.

How is the beds? I know they have been recently renovated but is the beds very comfortable?

I found the new queen beds to be heavenly. They are the pillow top kind and I slept the best I ever have in over 20+ visits to DW on the new beds.

I'm not sure there are any king rooms right next door to each other, but you should have no problem getting them in the same building (I would link the reservations if you haven't already).
