How is the bus service at the resort?
We never taken ME, so how many other resorts does ME go before this resort?

Thanks again for the response and information.

No problem. There are lots of great people here who have stayed numerous times who are willing to help. If this thread reaches it's limit before I leave in three weeks, they will start a "temporary" until I get back (I want to get some new pictures for the new thread while I am there).

I'm not sure there are any king rooms right next door to each other, but you should have no problem getting them in the same building (I would link the reservations if you haven't already).

If i made reservations for CSR and we are 2 adults and 2 kids, they will put me in a double bed room right? We do not want a king...should i call to confirm or am i worrying for nothing?

We were just there last week and never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus (except on the return from MK after fireworks). Since we were at Bus Stop 4, the bus usually made one more stop at the entrance and then headed to whichever park we were going to. It took on average about 15 minutes to get to MK, 10 minutes for Epcot and DHS and then 10 minutes to Animal Kingdom if you stopped at Blizzard Beach first.

We also took ME and CSR was the first stop after the airport. On the return to the airport, ME picked us up at CSR and we left straight for the airport.

Hope this helps!

We drive to the parks (we have a rental car). However, since I was asked to overtake this thread, we tried a bus last year for first hand experience. We got on at Bus Stop 1 (the last stop picked up); we waited five minutes for a bus and took the bus to the MK. We had a seat and it took exactly ten minutes to get to the MK. I have read mostly good reports of the bus service (it helps that it is a convention resort and those guests aren't on the buses so the buses tend to not get filled.

A King room is a "bookable" category. So unless you booked a king room (which you couldn't do with 2 kids), you won't get one. :)

hi all!

leaving on Sunday. so excited!

i had read a lot of these 200+ pages a few weeks ago, i tired going back but can't find the answer to 2 questions i have.

1) i would like to order a case of water. did you use netgrocer? or some where else? does the Coronado charge a delivery drop off fee?

2) is there a phone number i can call to request my room or is it only by fax? or i thought i saw that you can email a request. I have a 12 year old and a 9 year old and would like to be close to the dig site and a bus stop

thank you so much for you help. this board is great!

1) We've never ordered (we drive and stop at a store). I know there is a charge for certain delivery methods (I believe it is on page 1 or 2 of this thread)

2) You need to call Central Reservations to have a request for a certain room. As you are leaving on Sunday, I would get the request in as soon as possible as they do room assignments four-five days out. If you aren't worried about being on the other side of the lake away from the main building, I would ask for Ranchos 7B or Cabanas 8A as they are both relatively close to the main pool and a bus stop.

We order groceries from www.gardengrocer.com. $40 min. order and $12 delivery fee. I don't know if CSR charges for holding the groceries as it's our 1st stay there, but we've stayed at other resorts and there was no charge.

Is anyone decorating their room window at CSR? I usually bring some window clings. :goodvibes If I can find some Halloween clings, I might bring some along. Sometimes Walgreens has Disney themed clings.

Hoping to stay in the cabanas ground level. Husband and I are hoping to have some quiet time in the evenings after the kids go to bed, if they have not wore us out. :rotfl: Is there any place to sit outside that is close to the rooms, I dont want to be very far away with the two yr old. We have a water view, how far are the hammocks from the rooms or do the quiet pools have chairs and are they close to the rooms.

We just got home today and exhausted of course.

We stayed in Rancho's 7B first floor right across from the pool which was good and just behind Bus Stop 4. The food court and Maya Grill was very good.

The bad part was the walk to the main buildings I timed it 8 minutes at a good pace and the bugs at night you had to walk with your mouth closed or you were eating them. You could take a bus to the main building but had to walk back or wait for a Downtown Disney bus which was a pain. And it was about a 5 minute walk to the Dig Site.

The maid service was pretty bad..dirty glasses everyday, never vaccumed the room and I finally had to wash the bathroom floor it was so dirty.

The grounds were very overgrown and there was trash in all the bushes were ever I looked it seemed.

I was glad we stayed at least once but I don't see us staying there again. In my opinion CBR was a better resort.

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry your stay wasn't better for you. As for the mousekeeping, that has been an ongoing problem at every Disney resort. However, I am very disappointed to hear about the trash in the bushes. I will certainly be sure to be on the look out for that in three weeks and report it to management when we are there if I see it. We are actually hoping to stay in the Ranchos on this trip (it's the only section we've not tried). Eight minutes isn't a bad walk to the main building (I'd never timed it from that section); that's what it took us to walk from Trinidad South to the food court at the CBR. Glad you enjoyed Pepper Market and Maya Grill.

Thanks for giving CSR a try.

We were in 7B as well and the only thing we really noticed was some debris in the stairwells but it was bugs and leaves. Never saw anything in the bushes but we never walked to the main buildings..only the Dig Site. No issues with our floors or glasses either. We just got home on Sunday.

We were in the corner room 7559 first floor and the pool was right outside our door. We arrived on Tuesday and there was a pile of about 12 empty shampoo bottles outside the room in the mulch 5 doors down that stayed there till friday.

There was just a lot of empty wrappers, beer cans, ect laying around.
Regarding the housekeeping, I never had a problem at CBR or POP maybe we just picked a bad week. :)

I think you, unfortunately, just got one of those mousekeepers that didn't care...and it is a shame, and I hate reading this about any resort. It's just not the Disney we used to know. :sad2:

Thank you, it helps alot.:goodvibes

My husband was able to get 2 nights at Swan using points and I switched to CSR tonight so we are still able to go to Disney in December.:cool1:

The reservations are linked....thanks~
I used a travel agent, or I would have not thought of that...
