Coronado Springs Cleanliness?

Ok stop trying to bring me into the argument about validity of opinions. No, you did not read my post correctly. I never once said anyone's issue on here wasn't a big deal. Ever. Not once. You are just plain making things up.

The entirety of my post said I saw everyone arguing over TA reviews and if they are just unfairly negative. I said as a result I read the TA reviews and, I quote myself here, they seemed to mostly be coming from business travelers.

And no I didn't address everyone's opinions on this thread. Because I was making one comment that I stated was limited to TA. I don't work for Disney, I don't need to address all of their complaints! But you keep :stir:

So does that make them less valid because they were business travelers? Aren't they people too with an opinion? There are plenty of negative reviews by non business travelers as well on TA, and vice versa.

I guess you call discussing a topic "stirring" the pot, and I don't. :surfweb:

:wizard: We are planning a trip this summer and were hoping to stay at CSR for the first time. We read the reviews and take them with a grain of salt. I can say that while I'm not thrilled with the negative reviews about cleanliness at CSR, it's not a deal breaker for us. We have been coming to WDW for many years and the one thing we have always been able to count on is that if we aren't happy with our room, Disney does whatever they can to make us happy. Most of the time we've had rooms that were great, but I few times we had rooms that we simply wouldn't accept….we called the front desk and they worked with us to give us a more acceptable room, sometimes upgrading us to a better view or location…and I do believe that in the end, everyone has a different set of standards of what is acceptable. I appreciate being able to read about the different experiences people have had and then make my own decision…that's what makes the DIS boards so great!!!

Great post!! All you can do is research the resorts, and then chose what is best for your family. Be sure to post your experience afterwards. Hope you have a great trip!

I am not talking anyone from staying at a Disney Resort. Just because I have a different opinion of the validity of the people that post negative reviews doesn't mean I have a hidden agenda. I am entitled to my opinion as much as you.
You imply that people who have 20,000 posts on DIS can be the only ones that can "help" people on this forum. Really? I think it is important that people can see a difference of opinion and then can chose for themselves whats best for their family.

Focusing on a negative things? You don't think that feces on sheets, mold, urine in the bathroom upon check in, dirty underwear in the comforter needs to be addressed by Disney, and that these people that stayed in these rooms don't have the right to write a review based on their experience, and not be treated so badly by certain members of this board?

Everyone keeps talking about TA, but what about the people that post on this thread and other threads that I have had bad experiences? Do they not have an opinion that is valid?

Your response is the reason I wasn't going to engage further in this thread. Your refuse to acknowledge or can't understand what my point is. You either didn't read my previous 3 posts or can't understand my point. Funny you used the word agenda. That's two threads now you felt the need to mention you had no agenda.

The only "fact" in this thread is that eveyone here is offering personal experiences while you have no personal experiences at a WDW resort to offer.

No I call putting words into my mouth stirring the pot. I never stated any of those things you keep bringing up and blaming on me. Maybe you are confusing my posts with others.

Again you didn't read it. I specifically stated business travelers may be used to different accommodations for business trips and with how Disney moderate resorts are set up I can see how they would not be happy with it.

Further, I never discounted anyone's opinion in this thread. I specifically stated in my post early on here that I am booked for my first stay at CSR and I am following this thread because these reports have me concerned. So I have no idea why you are lumping me in with people on the dis who are so in love with WDW that they don't see anything negative or claiming I am disregarding the complaints in this thread.

At this point you are pretty much having an argument with yourself, since you are making up my side of it. Moving on...:wave2:

So I can't have an opinion on people that have posted negative reviews on Disney Resorts? I came to this board to review whether or not that I wanted to stay on property. At this time, I have chosen to stay off site on our next trip. I plan on checking out some of these Resorts on that trip for myself. I have as much right to be here as you do.

I do pay attention to online reviews, and I would not ever stay at CSR (again).

Typical response when one can't address the issues. Since you like smiley faces as a form of communication........:woohoo:

You are right. I used one smiley face in a 3 paragraph response informing you that you were making up things I said. Let me fix that.

Just curious if you stayed in the Casitas section? Seems the issues with the rooms are in the Cabanas section.

My post is a few pages back now but to reiterate, we had zero housekeeping issues and found our room to be very clean for the duration of our trip. This was in contrast to our last stay at POR, where we had sub-par housekeeping. Our room at CSR was Cabanas 9A, room 9160 I believe - ground floor corner room. We had the same housekeeper for the whole stay and she was great.

We get it. You had a great experience at CS, but that does not diminish the other reviewers bad experiences at this hotel. You are doing exactly what you are complaining about. Thinking your opinion is correct and their opinions are wrong. Why are their reviews not as relevant and valid as your review? People have posted on this thread alone with bad reviews. One had feces on their sheets at this hotel. The logic by some of this board is.....Clearly if something was wrong at this hotel then it has to be just a complainer wanting something for free , and not Disney's fault. How dare they!

Now you are just being silly trying to make your point. I in fact have stayed that people had valid reason for complaints, if you would actually read my posts. However, I don't see giving ONE review site so much more credence than others.

I also acknowledge that hotels can screw up housekeeping. But CSR is not the only Disney resort to make a mess of it. All of them do, they all have thousands of rooms, how could they not? That is what I find sad, that people are going away thinking if they avoid CSR they are somehow for sure going to avoid getting a room that is not clean. That is just not true! Bad houskeeping can and does happen at every Disney resort. No guarantee of avoiding it because you avoid CSR.

I’m very sorry to hear of the poor experiences with housekeeping at CSR. We have stayed at many of the resorts on Disney property and we have found housekeeping in general to be hit and miss. Our biggest housekeeping issues were actually at the Beach Club and the Polynesian. However, we didn’t let those experiences deter us from future stays. Staff changes and you can have a poor or average housekeeper for 2 days and then a fantastic one for 5 days. You don’t necessarily have the same staff each day. Sadly, with all complaints at Disney the squeaky wheel gets the grease. If you aren’t satisfied with something you need to be persistent. Polite, firm and persistent.

That said, we have stayed at Coronado over a dozen times since it opened. We are returning in March and in October. We have never had any issues with cleanliness or cast members during our stays. Trip Advisor is definitely a site where complaints can get out of hand (not to say that any posted about CSR were as such) and I think you have to take it with a grain of salt. What is extremely offensive to some can seem like a non-issue to others. At the end of the day, your vacation is your own and if you find yourself at CSR unsatisfied you can always go to the front desk and speak to management about resolving the issues or moving to another resort.

Good to hear about the Cabanas section! Thanks

I stayed at CSR last month and my room was very clean. In fact we will most likely stay there again!
