Coral Reef Restaurant - Diver/menu - Discontinued for 2009

I wish I knew about this when we ate there last year for our 10th. All we got was a menu that said Happy Anniversary on it.

There's always the 15th Anniversary.

I talked to Debbi today and was able to get the diver and the personalized menu for my son for the 17th. We have a 7:30 ressi and she asked if we could come in at 7:00 since the diver is only there from 7-8. I'm looking forward to this.

I just booked the diver AND the menu for our September trip!!! I am sooo excited. Deb was absolutely fantastic. We had a problem with our ADR- only for a party of 9 but needed 10 and couldn't get it through member services- she changed the reservation number for me so now my dad does not have to eat alone this day! She definately goes above and beyond- I wish I worked at Disney.

I recently got back from Coral Reef and had the diver and menu done for my DBF. No special occasion is needed, it was our first day/meal at WDW so I just wanted something special. All I had was "I Love You" messages. It was fantastic... we were seated right against the tank and the diver was right at our table. LOVED this and whats even better is its free!

I'm hoping to do this for DH in November for our 10th Anniversary trip. Do you have to provide the I Love You messages, or do they have a version all ready?

I called Debbi, who took down the information of our names and what we were celebrating. She modified our ADR so we would be there when the divers were in the tank.

I could have given her a message, but she had a nice one made up which I went with. Then, I emailed her some pictures, and some lyrics from a song that I sang to my wife at our wedding. I'm excited to see how it comes out! We're planning to be at Epcot that morning, eat lunch around 2:00, and then head to the resort for a brief break before going to MK that evening. That way, we'll be able to take the menu back to the hotel so we can keep it.

Do I make the ADR & then call the mgr?? or do i t/t the mgr so I can find out when the diver will be there??

Will they allow a few msgs/menus for the event, i have a bday, 1st wdw trip & 10yr annv.

& was the # posted earlier for her direct line correct??

I spoke with Debbi and she has got to be the nicest person I have had the pleasure of working with at Disney. She was so helpful. I am really excited to see my husband and childrens faces when they see the banner!! I am really looking forward to this meal!

I think you should make your ADR first... I think she told me that the divers are NOT in the tanks between 3 and 7. She will adjust your ADR if she can (and it needs to be adjusted).

The posted number was correct.


You'll have to ask about multiple messages... and I don't know about cakes...

This post is wonderful. I talked to Debi yesterday and set up a message and menu for my 12th anniversary and my husband's birthday both on the same day in September that we will be eating at Coral Reef. Yes, my husband married me on his birthday so he can never say he forgot it was our anniversary. lol He will just love it and have no clue it is going to happen. If they forget about us then he will have no clue and miss nothing. They are putting our anniversary message on one side of the sign and his birthday on the other side. Debi really is a very nice and patient person. I can only imagine how many phone calls she is getting about these. Oh yeah, she did mention that they will only do so many each night for fear that the tank will turn into a billboard and guests will complain which you know they would. We were lucky she had an opening on our night so call as early as possible.

Also, I spoke with her today for our meal at the end of August and she already had 5 booked that night so I had to change my dinner to a different night to get the diver.... Guess this is getting very popular!

I love her as well!! I set up a divers sign for my parents anniversary this past May and did menus for their mothers/fathers day and I had mentioned the trip was for my college graduation and on the back of the divers sign it mentioned my college graduation. I asked my mom if she called them about and she said no so just from one email and phone call from debbi she had set that up for me..such a nice lady and everything turned out wonderful!!!
