Does anyone have the phone number for Coral reef? I want to call about a diver, and I'm not having any luck using the search function. Also, when is a good time to call.. I was thinking between 2 and 4?? TIA~

That's the sole reason we booked at CR - so we could get the diver and personalized menu for dd's 12th birthday.

don't shoot the messanger, i hope i am wrong!! We had one of our party hoping to use a diver to propose to his girl in Feb, but i hope the rumor is not true. There was also mention of charging for the service...

I have spoken with Debbie at Coral Reef and at this stage there has not been a firm decision to cancel the diver. We have an ADR for Jan and she would not book the diver for me until the decision is made, we have arranged the personalised menus though.
I believe they may look into charging for the service, although Debbie did not tell me that.

1) As mentioned, they ARE NOT scheduling any divers for 2008 at this time.
2) They are trying to decide

. . . to eliminate divers' sign all together
3) They still will do customized menus, just like other WDW restaurants.

NOTE: Due to the internet, there were too many requests for divers. The divers did not have time to do their required work in the tanks. What started as a favor turned into a huge demand for the divers' time.

1) There is no charge for customized menus.
2) All they do is add your names, and sometimes a picture/graphic.
3) Most eateries can do this.
4) Just ask the hostess at the podium or call ahead.

I spoke with Debbi yesterday... and there will be no charge for the diver for 2008, but they will only offer 3 divers during the lunch period and 4 during the dinner period. They will still offer the pers. menus.

DH also spoke with Debbi yesterday. She was wonderful to work with. She confirmed the 3 at lunch, 4 at dinner new rule. We got diver #4 for dinner on our dd's 12th birthday!

We are doing the personalized menu also.

Good luck to others trying to book this! I'll try to remember to post pictures when we get home.

Now I just have to figure out what we want to do about a cake. Any great "under the sea" suggestions???

My nephews birthday is December 20th and we will be at Ohana's. Will they do this there?
