:coffee: I am having a very hard time in deciding between Coral Reef and Rose and Crown. We have eaten at Coral Reef but it was years ago. We will be celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday and a diver would be nice. I just can't quit looking at Rose and Crown's menu. :rolleyes2

Thanks for your help!

I was having the same debate with myself until I read this review...http://www.wdwinfo.com/reviews/coralreef.htm

Now Im sure it was just one persons opinion and was last December but the menu at Crown and Rose looks so good and Hey I had to choose!

I like both, but Rose and Crown is livelier, I think. The CR is very hushed and we almost feel like whispering....which is silly, I know. Both are very pretty places to eat. I guess it comes down to what menu seems most tempting to you and your family. I adore seafood, but the rest of my family could take it or leave it, so a visit to CR is rare for us these days. Although we did go there for my birthday one year! ;) I especially love going to Rose & Crown during Illuminations and watching how the staff salutes the UK.....lots of fun!

Tuff situation....HMMMM........theres no promise you'll see the diver or be seated by the tank......Coral Reef is way expensive too.

I would still choose the Coral Reef though and do a lunch instead of dinner.
Call ahead and ask for the manager. Tell her/he about your celebration. You may get some pixie dust.

We ate at R&C for the first time in Dec. 2007 and we really enjoyed it. Not only was the food very good, but we were lucky to get patio seating and had a great view for Illuminations. So I would vote for R&C and make a late ADR to watch Illuminiations ... even if you don't get a table on the patio, you can still go outside & watch the show ...

Have a Happy Birthday pixiedust:

I vote Coral Reef. We were there a couple of weeks ago and had a good time.

I have never been to Coral Reef, but our trip to R&C in January was horrible. The wait staff is over taxed and the food was horrible. I know the food there is a little different, but these were things that we would normally eat. We will not be returning to R&C.

We just ate at CR on Saturday (May 19). We had a diver for our son's 5th bday and were seated right next to the tank. Our waiter was very attentive, the food was good and people all around us were having fun.
