Coordinating drinks at Contemporary or Poly, Wishes/MSEP and DAH...

My best friend and I planned a spontaneous trip for tomorrow for the DAH night! We are staying at All Star Music and will arrive around 5 pm and have a few drinks before heading to the park.

Once at MK, we were going to FP a few rides, then walk to Contemporary or take the resort monorail to have a drink or two before returning to MK for 10 pm wishes and 11 pm MSEP.

I really wanted to check out Trader Sam's but concerned we'd waste our DAH time.

Questions:

1) Bus or Uber to MK?

2) What time should we leave MK to grab a drink at a resort in order to return by 10 pm Wishes? Would walking to/from Contemporary be the best bet?

3) Any idea how long it would take to get to Poly from MK, wait for Trader Sams, have a drink or two, then make it back to MK?

4) Any drink recommendations in the $7-12 range, or higher but made for 2?

Trader Sam's is a cool place-the outdoor seating is really nice in the evening. However drink prices there are quite pricy. I would say they are more like $12-$15 from my recollection (more if you set one that comes in a special cup you take home). We did not have drinks at the Contemporary this past trip but I did at the pool bar. Cocktails there started at $9 or $10 (before tax) and went up from there. I would assume prices at the lounge inside are probably higher. Don't think you will find anything for $7-8 except maybe a beer.
I really liked the spiky pineapple at Trader Sam's (alcoholic dole whip). We tried a couple others last year but I can't recall what they were. At the contemporary pool bar I tried a few different drinks and liked them all but thought the sunken treasure was really good.

Don't forget the Tambu Lounge and Lapu Lapu's if you can't get into Trader Sams quickly!

Yes, much noisier with the children, but make sure you go to the Tambu lounge and get a bread pudding while you're at the Poly.

YES! Trader Sam's is always worth it. This is my suggestion. Enjoy!

With regard to #3, I timed getting to the Poly from the castle in MK and found that without children and scurrying to catch a monorail if it was there already in the station it took me about 25 mins with no kids. Figure 30 to 35 mins comfortably each way plus whatever time you want to spend at Trader Sams. We never went in, but I got drinks at the patio lounge outside a couple times and there was never anyone waiting when I walked up to the bar there so if things are busy inside, just hit the patio.
