Contract...I KNOW this has been asked...

Sorry in advance, I know this has been asked, but the search feature isn't working.

How long after we send in our contract and credit application, will we hear back? I know I am being silly as I just sent it out 2 days ago, but I am curious. I feel like I am in limbo. I'm planning our trip and have already booked a trip with points, but were not official yet. Makes me a little nervous.

Couple of weeks you will get a letter in the mail saying that you have been approved for credit for contract #so in so........Closing happens a day or two after that and member cards 2 weeks after closing. So figure 4 to 5 weeks until you become complete official with shiny blue plastic cards. This was my time frame....your may be shorter...or longer

Thanks. That makes me feel better. I knew it took a couple of weeks, I was just a little thrown when the contract stated that our first payment wouldn't be until May or June.

I got my approval letter in the same week (sent in Monday or Tuesday and received approval letter on Friday). And closing was a couple months later and got the card within few weeks after closing.

Some people indicated that they got the letter in few days and some people reported that they got theirs within a few weeks. If worst comes, DVC will ask you for a bit more down payment.

What I heard is that if one has put down 20% or more, you should be fine even with not-so-good credit.

We recieved our approval letter yesterday,2 weeks to the day we sent ours out.

just to throw my hat into the ring - we gave our $500 down 2/15 , contracts were received at DVC on Monday 2/27 - our guide told me on Wednesday 3/1 that we were approved and yesterday 3/7, our approval letters were at the house. also received my Pin postcards on Monday 2/6 ..

pretty painless and smooth so far...! oh and our first payment is not due until June
