Contract for renting points?

Greetings fellow DVCR's!

My DH and I are new at renting points and we have some we are hoping to rent.

We are asking some of the other board members who are looking to rent or have rented in the past if there is some kind of contract that you all have for rentors. We are concerned about costs to us. I know DVC doesn't have a contract, but I didn't know if some of you have made up your own.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm relatively new to DVC and having done any part of renting. But I would think drawing up some kind of contract should be done. If not for anything else, peace of mind. there were some horror stories on here about rentals gone bad.

In addition to the sample contracts, I'd highly advise any person new to renting points to read this Point Rental Primer thread. I think you'll find lots of great hints that can ease your mind even more.

When you make a reservation for a renter, do you let DVC know that you are renting points? Or do you just indicate it's a "friend" who will be using your points?
