Continuing The Caylee Anthony Discussion Here - Thread #2

I teach high school, and we usually wear uniforms. Yesterday was spring picture day, and probably 20% of the kids wore something with a skull. One very sweet young man wore a belt with a huge skull buckle. (OT, but yesterday made me realize why we wear uniforms:goodvibes ). So no, I don't think skulls is a sign of anything.

Oh my goodness, its just sad when the world comes to this, and everyone thinking its normal.

I wonder if Oprah will ask them direct questions about the facts of the case and not allow them to rattle on and on about the imaginary nanny.

They need to face reality, there is no excuse for Casey not reporting Caylee missing unless she is the one that commited the crime. Yes Casey is their daughter, but Caylee was an innocent child, where is the outrage, where is the justice for Caylee? :sad1:

The anthony's will appear on Oprah sometime in May

I saw this too - I hope that she is tough on them and asks them the questions that we all want to know. I like Oprah but sometimes she gives what I would consider a "soft" interview when the person should really be pressed for answers.

I wondered, though, if since the trial is still going on, can they answer many questions? Do they think the trial will be over next month and that's why they booked the show in May? I wasn't sure if as witnesses what they were able to say, and if that's the case, what's the point of having them on the show if they can't say anything?

They have just been doing depositions for the civil case. The criminal case isn't set to go to trial until the fall. I would think they are just going on there to try to get sympathy for Casey :sad2:.

If they truly believed their was a "real killer" out there, why aren't they screaming for justice? Why aren't they demanding that the real killers are found? That is what I would do if I knew Casey was innocent, but she isn't and her parents know she isn't.

The whole situation is just sad, sad, sad. I also wonder what made them change their minds about the death penalty?

Did anyone watch L&O SVU last night? It was loosely based on Caylee's story.

Yeah, it was good. It ended up taking a totally different turn, but had alot of similarities at first.

I'm looking forward to watching it! The previews looked interesting. I'm sure they had to change some details so they wouldn't get in trouble. I know Jose Baez was already commenting about it, so I'm sure that story was the inspiration.
