Continuing The Caylee Anthony Discussion Here - Thread #2

and more from cnn.com

According to the documents, investigators found a bag inside the family home that matches the bag that contained Caylee Anthony's remains. Among the documents and images, there's also some cryptic words from Casey Anthony's dairy.

Investigators found evidence from the Anthony home (see house evidence) that matched evidence found with Caylee's remains (see woods evidence), including a laundry bag.

One of the most disturbing things that was released Wednesday was a page from Casey's diary dated June 21 (read journal entry), five days after Caylee disappeared, where she wrote, "This is the happiest I have been in a very long time. I hope that my happiness will continue to grow."

Casey also wrote that she had "no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out okay. I completely trust my own judgment and knew that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means. I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see."

Investigators found a canvas "Whitney" laundry bag in the Anthonys' home. That is exactly the same as the laundry bag Caylee's remains were found with. They also found the backing for a heart-shaped sticker in the Anthony home with the sticker removed. It could be the sticker they found at the scene that they say appeared to have been intentionally stuck to the duct tape around Caylee's mouth.

Oh my gosh. I can't believe what I'm reading. She is really disturbed.

The following is a transcript of Casey Anthony's diary entry from June 21. It was released with other evidence by the state attorney's office on Feb. 18.

I have no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out okay.

I completely trust my own judgement & know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means.

I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see -- This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time.

I hope that my happiness will continue to grow -- I've made new friends that I really like. I've surrounded myself with good people -- I am finally happy. Let's just hope that it doesn't change.

Now that I think about it though, we can't be sure that those journal entries are from 2008. It isn't dated. It could be from a different year entirely. If it is from 2008, that is very damning evidence for the defense! And very disturbing IMO.

the beginning of the journal is dated '03 but then pages have also been ripped out.

Thanks for pointing that out, I just saw how it looks like the date '03 is written. I still think the other evidence is pretty damning even without the journal entries. No wonder Jose Baez was having stomach pains after seeing this.

Thanks for posting all of this!! I havent been on WS today, so I missed it all! I can see why JB's stomach was hurting.

all I can say is wow. If that diary entry is from 2008..holycow is her goose cooked. You can't lie that away

I don't see why they would consider it evidence if it was from 2003, Caylee wasn't even born then. I think it is from 2008.

Finger Prints?

Nancy Grace was reporting last week that Casey's finger prints were found on the duct tape, but she was the only one reporting that.
Now that the evidence has been released, there are reports saying no finger prints.
So where did NG get that information from and was it right or wrong?

Also about the '03 written in the journal. They could compare her hand writting samples from now and from 2003 and see if it had changed at all and which looks more like what was found in the journal.

If you look at the pictures of the dairy, it looks like some pages were tore out. The writing where it says '03 and Carpe Diem looks like she wrote that on the inside cover, not on an actual page in the dairy. I bet she got that diary in 2003, wanted to start writing again in it in 2008 and tore out all the old pages. You know what I mean?

Nancy never said that Casey's prints were on the tape. I think she was reporting the rumors that were swirling around last week, but never confirmed that was true. I guess the only people who officially know is Law Enforcement. Will be interesting to see if this ever goes to trial!

Yesterday what she said was: George, Cindy and Lee's prints were compared to the duct tape and their's WEREN'T on the tape, they were cleared (per the documents released yesterday.) She pointed out that Casey's name wasn't included in the names that were cleared, so she asked experts if that mean't that Casey's WERE on the duct tape since her name (or finger prints) wasn't cleared, or if that mean't there weren't any prints on the tape at all. The medical examiner said there was a possiblilty that all finger prints were washed away, since the remains were sitting in water for a long period of time.

I thought of that, but it just seems too unlikely to me because the ink looks the same. Lee has said that his sister isn't the neatest person, so it seems far fetched that she would keep the same pen for 5 years.

I wish Nancy Grace would've pointed out that the opposite page is dated '03. Normally I really like her but that just seemed like her trying to get ratings to me. (I know some people have felt that way about her all along)

I thought that too about the red pen. The only thing would be if the pen was IN the dairy. You know? But that still seems pretty far fetched if she is a messy person.

Can't detectives compare the ink on both pages? To see how old it is? :confused3

I don't know many of the details, so I may be way off base, but my thoughts after reading the diary entry was that it could have been from June, 2005. Caylee's birthday was in August, and I've read that Casey hid the pregnancy until 7 months or so, so is it possible she was talking about the baby she was carrying?

The being happy may have meant not having to hide the pregnancy anymore, the no regrets about the decision could be keeping the baby and the time will tell part meant waiting to see what happens.

It just seemed odd to me that she would have gone back to the house 6 days later and wrote that in a diary, because (and as I said I don't know a lot of the details) I thought she wasn't around the Anthony home much during that month Caylee was missing. Not that anything she has done has made any sense, but why would she go back and write that and then leave it there in the house?

I do think she is the one behind what happened, so I am not defending her in any way. My gut feeling was she was talking about the pregnancy in that entry. Are there any more pages before or after that date? If there are, what do they say? Maybe I am way off base here.
