I had a tubal during my c/s of my 3rd child.
We were done at 2 (I promised dh I wouldn't beg for another like I did with the 2nd child) but I knew I didn't want a tubal after that 2nd one. I was a schedualed c/s at about 30 weeks but since I was very hormonal with PIH I knew they wouldn't take my decision to tie my tubes during that c/s with a grain of salt.
It so happened that the day before that c/s my ds flipped to head down again (he was breech/transverse for most of that pregnancy). My c/s got cancelled & then a week later I went into labor. On day 2 of labor (my first was 72 hours so day 2 was easy), they checked me & he was shoulder down.
So off they wisked me for a emergency c/s. I knew they would not do a tubal then & I knew I didn't want one then.
Lo & behold I thought it was 'safe'. Not quite! I got pregnant with our 3rd & I knew a tubal was in my future since I was not doing a vbac. The midwife tried to get me to do a vbac & have a tubal a few weeks later.
Um..no 1. insurance wouldn't cover it if I did it later 2. I would not come back to get it done but I would come back being preggo with baby #4.
I went into labor 3 weeks before my c/s (I think their dates were wrong so per my dates I was a week late) & had a tubal.
So far so good & it is 3½ years since. I did have a scare last month since I went 8 weeks vs my normal 6 with out AF. I have no pain at all.

My other two were miracle babies for us so who would have guessed.
