I'm thinking about renting points from Dave's Point Rental. I've never stayed in a DVC before, and I wanted to ask you experts a question. My family and I are considering going to WDW. We want to stay in AKL Value Studio. I'm not sure which resorts/rooms fill up first. Is this a popular room for DVCs to fill up?

DVC resorts are always full by design. Booking a Value for XXX is very unlikely.

I would say the chances are close to zero. Value room book up very close to the 11 month window. You would have needed to book last May.

Well, I just went and checked on-line and according to the system, both the standard and savannah views are available for those 5 nights in Kidani and Jambo house. No nights blocked out at all.

I would make my arrangements quickly if that is what you want to do.

And since everyone said no way, I went and double checked to make sure I had the dates right, and guess what, still available.

Thanks for checking!! I think we'll try and book the standard view! Is it worth the additional money for Savannah view?

I think the PPs were saying "no chance" for a value studio, not AKV as a whole.

I agree. While AKV tends to be available on shorter notice, the value and concierge rooms are typically booked up at the 11 month window.

Aahh, you are probably right. But, I do have to say that I was surprised that there was so much still available for April at this point in time.

I that if you don't go often, the savannah view is worth the extra money.

I totally agree. The savanna view is what makes that resort special. If you aren't staying in a savanna view, you might as well stay at a different resort.
