Considering buying - BWV or BCV in Sept? busy time??

Hello! I am new and was guided to these boards..I was looking to stay at the BCV in Sept. 2005 but then learned MORE about the DVC and purchaing points resale. Also considering just trying to rent from Sept. 17-24th a 2BR villa in BCV.
Anyway, we always travel to Disney in Sept. due to the low crowds in the park and great deals at the resorts. Is the availability at BWV or BCV also 'lower' than normal? Is it any easier to get a villa during this time.
I am seeing that the BWV points (resale) seem to be a bit less expensive than BCV points. If we always travel in Sept, would I have a better chance 'changing' from home resort of BWV to BCV?????

Welcome to the Dis-Boards.

September is a "low" time for DVC so yes you do have a better chance of switching out of your home resort in September than at many other times of the year. It is also easier to get a place on short notice. But since you plan in advance, you could easily get something at the 7 month window for September most likely at the resort of your choice.

if I may ask another question even though I may belong under another thread. As a 'non menber' if I wanted to rent a a 2 bedroom in BCV from
Sept. 17-24th, the member who has points to rent would have to check the availability of the units and make the reservations? All transactions are between me and the renter? Do they allow Sat-Sat stays? I don't want to jump the gun in case we do buy (and then use) but just in case we put this off a while.

September is one of the easier months to book DVC accomodations. BWV will give you the lower point standard view option as well as the opportunity to book a guaranteed Boardwalk view. If you think either of those options will be important, you'll want the 11 month window at BWV.

IMHO, you will not have a problem booking a September stay at BCV or a Preferred View - Pool/Garden at BWV at the 7 month window. You may have a problem booking standard view or Boardwalk view at BWV at that time, however.
