Considering an Intimate Wedding at Wilderness Lodge

Hi All-

We are considering an Intimate wedding (real intimate, like just the two of us) at the Wilderness Lodge. Is anyone planning on getting hitched on the Sunrise Terrace? Or has anyone done that and can they share their experience? Are there only certain days that they will allow weddings? And why only during daylight hours? We just purchased DVC with the Villas at Wilderness Lodge as our home resort, and we are comtemplating saying I do on our first trip "home". Any insights would be appreciated.

Hi! We were told that intimate weddings could only take place Monday through Thursday, but that may be b/c we are using the pavilion, which is in higher demand for custom brides.
There are a few brides on the Disneymooners list who had weddings at Sunrise Terrace, so you may want to join that list and ask some questions. Here is a link to one of the Disneymooner brides' recaps from her WL intimate wedding:

We are also having an intimate wedding, but at Sunset Pointe at the Poly. The view from WL looks beautiful. Yes, you can only have intimate weddings Mon thru Thurs no matter the location. For more info go the disneyweddings.com and call for info. I've heard it is very difficult to try and use the web to get your packet of info. Also join Disneymooners - you can get lots of info and advice. It is a yahoo group.
