I can't wait to see it all come tumbling down around them.... we'll see who'll be angry and bitter then.:cool1:

They still seem pretty angry to me. The claws come out as soon as someone dares to say anything that isn't completely in favor of their hero. Very defensive.

To quote the "Great Breezy" :

"I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you."

(Oh, oops! Gotta add a)

( ;) )

:thumbsup2 Uh, Glen's on Fox News -right? Can someone record it and somehow send it to me? I don't get Fox News :sad1: I'm sure it will be on youtube or his website once it airs

Good point... not that it will ever be acknowledged. But, seriously, after the pompous DNC acceptance (where one of those stupid columns cost the same as the Pailn family's entire wardrobe that she got so much crap over) do you expect anything less than an egotistical, extravagant, over the top inauguration.oh but see....that was for HIM...we'll never know how much that god-awful dress Michelle wore on election night cost the DNC, or the rest of his family's wardrobe. They were only concerned about attacking Sarah Palin because her intelligence scares the crap out of them. You know what they say about doing a battle of the minds when only one side is armed....

Nope, they’re calling us angry and bitter because they’re all lurking over here and keep reading some of us referring to them as angry and bitter. I have an extremely liberal sister and what I’ve noticed from the lib’s (my sister being a prime example) is they take what you accuse them of doing and turn it back on you.

What I do see is a lot of laughter and sarcasm at the outrageousness of what this inauguration is turning into. The world sees it. We see it. They refuse to see it. Like his Berlin speech. Like his DNC speech. Obama is making us look pompous and foolish to the world in his arrogance; they’re laughing at us.
They see the rest of the world laughing, so they figure "oh...they must really like us again"...never mind that they're laughing AT us, not WITH us.

You poor deprived individual. Check YouTube on Tuesday and I bet someone will have put the show up (I refuse to miss it- Sarah Palin being on is going to be awesome!!:woohoo: Though the libs will have a field day when they hear about it)

:thumbsup2 to all your points. He best be careful, his true colors are showing and he isn't even POTUS yet.

Veteran psychiatrist calls liberals mentally ill

Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.

"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness." "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."

While political activists on the other side of the spectrum have made similar observations, Rossiter boasts professional credentials and a life virtually free of activism and links to "the vast right-wing conspiracy."

For more than 35 years he has diagnosed and treated more than 1,500 patients as a board-certified clinical psychiatrist and examined more than 2,700 civil and criminal cases as a board-certified forensic psychiatrist. He received his medical and psychiatric training at the University of Chicago.

Rossiter says the kind of liberalism being displayed by both Barack Obama and his Democratic primary opponent Hillary Clinton can only be understood as a psychological disorder.

"A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity – as liberals do," he says. "A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population – as liberals do. And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes the nation's citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state – as liberals do."

Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:

- creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
- satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
- augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
- rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.

"The roots of liberalism – and its associated madness – can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind," he says. "When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious."

:lmao: That is excellent!!!! Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2

Glenn Beck used to really make fun of Alan Colmes a while back and even put up 'The Alan Colmes Magic Eye-Ball' which you ask questions and his eye gives you the answers. It did make it a little uncomfortable when Glenn made his first appearance on Hannity and Colmes though!

That is too funny! :rotfl: I think I'm going to like Soarins 'boyfriend'. :thumbsup2

A- HAH!
malismajlic.gif

I knew it!

( It's actually a lil' bit scary :scared: )

I've been meaning to say DD, that everytime I read one of your posts it gives me hope for my son. And after the last bout of homework that was attempted, I need that to cling to ;)

Is your son autistic? Where is he on the spectrum? It's people like you who are the reason I don't hide my own autism. I've made great strides in my own life, even though I still have a long way to go. Still, I want to let people know that a diagnosis of high-functioning autism isn't a "death sentence." It's just a few extra obstacles in the relay race of life. Oh, and good luck with that homework. I, myself, and a huge procrastinator, so.....you can imagine what it's like getting me to do HW. ;)

:cool1: My best friend just arrived from up North to spend the weekend!! She's a teacher and she has off on Monday.

I'll be popping in and out from now until Tuesday, keep 'em honest guys!!!

I didn't really care for Alan either, but I still watched the show. For those of you who haven't seen the show yet, the set reminded me of a highway construction zone......:confused3
Okay, now I have to watch it tonight so I can agree with you tomorrow. I've only seen one episode and to be honest, I only really listened to it. Tonight I'll actually watch it.

OK
Now I'm feeling guilty. We turned the heat on because it was down to 43
I came home from work early because Im still fighting the ickies
I'm watching American Idol. I TiVoed it last night
I'm a big Idol fan but also can't wait till next Wed for LOST to start.
Oh and I HAVE to watch CSI tonight
It's Grishoms last episode
Oh and onr more thing
For those that love to read and also love 24
check our Vince Flynn
He writes for 24 and it seems like his books are like the show
I'll see if he has anything at the library. Thanks for the info.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

I thought I saw a link on AOL or Yahoo either today or yesterday mentioning Michelle Obama's plans on redecorating the White House. Have any of you seen it? (I'm totally serious - I saw something recently but didn't have time to click on it - doing quarterly taxes over the past few days).

Geez, thanks, guys. Now my library hold request list is eight books long and I requested that they buy two more books. :rotfl:
I've put An Inconvenient Book on hold. That's for you, Soarin'. :thumbsup2
If I weren't married maybe I'd take your boyfriend, hehehehe.

That's okay. I already have a "celebrity husband". I just don't know where he stands politically; but he's a Scots so he can't vote here anyway.

...and it WILL happen...its just a matter of time. It will be quite entertaining. :3dglasses

<breaching all kinds of "dare" etiquette> I triple dog dare ya to post that "out there" :rotfl:

Yes he is on the spectrum. He has PDD-NOS. I'm so glad you don't hide it. You have no idea what it means to parents like myself to know that despite all the struggles/challenges he faces - there is hope. He was non-verbal until recently. By 4 he could say some words, but it was just this past year that he's been able to actually hold a conversation. Of course he'll still give you an oddball response to a question, but we're just happy to see the progress he's made. It's hard to give any credence to IQ tests, but he tests avg - which we're thrilled about. And the Dr. said it's the biggest predicter to future success. He's never had an issue with gross motor skills, but he couldn't hold a pencil or a utensil until last year - he just couldn't grip it with enough pressure. He has horrible sensory and spatial issues still, but he's improving. Right now, we're dealing with roughly two weeks on, two weeks off of what we call "hooey" episodes. Where for a couple weeks, nothing he says seems to make sense and then for a couple weeks it's like a cloud has been lifted and we can talk to him. I'm not making fun of him by calling them hooey episodes, that's actually a word he giggles at. Because, we finally decided (for his sake) to tell him when he's not making sense, to help him learn. But, he is the most sensitive, loving little guy I know. I got lucky because he's a snuggler - sensory seeker in that area (although avoider in others.). Sorry to go OT (and ramble ;)), it's just not very often (actually never) that I can have a conversation about DS with someone who can relate on such a personal level to his perspective. :)

ETA: I'm almost done reading "Autism and the God Connection". Interesting read. I don't agree with everything, but some of it is facinating and I can relate to it based on experiences with Alex. Have you read this DD? It's written by a man with Aspergers.
