I don't care where I stay as long as I get to go! I'll stay on Tom Sawyer's Island (or is called something else now?) or Swiss Family Robinson/Tarzan's Treehouse if I have to!

So did anyone see that Chris "Tingles" Matthews may run for Senate?:scared1:

Official: MSNBC May Seek Pennsylvania Senate Seat
Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC's "Hardball," may be considering a run for the U.S. Senate in 2010.

A Pennsylvania Democratic party leader says MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews may be considering a run for U.S. Senate in 2010.

The Patriot-News of Harrisburg reports Matthews met with state party leaders this past week in Washington to discuss a possible bid to unseat Republican Sen. Arlen Specter.

Party official Mary Isenhour says she left the meeting feeling that Matthews still hadn't made up his mind.

The 62-year-old Matthews hosts MSNBC's "Hardball" and provides political commentary on NBC's "Today." He ran unsuccessfully for a Pennsylvania congressional seat in 1974.

There was no immediate comment from Matthews on Saturday. A reliable home telephone number could not be located and a representative of MSNBC did not immediately return a call.

As a kid, I used to dream at night of staying in the Swiss Family Robinson tree house...:goodvibes

We're staying at POP for the first time in January (only way DH will let me take the kids is if I do it really cheap...:rotfl2: )

We arrive on 12/14. DH and I are celebrating our 28th anniversary:love:

Mickey....we want pictures....lots and lots!!

Happy Anniversary!!! That is wonderful!

I will be taking lots of pictures. Now I just have to practice with Photobucket. I have never posted pictures before but I went on the Photography board and they had a thread with instructions. I may have to practice on you guys before I leave next week.

*walking back in hoping to make it through the deluge of snowballs someone threw* LOL

:rotfl2:

They are showing it in movie theaters all over the country on Dec 17 & 18 for the people that couldn't make it to a live show. I saw his summer show live and then again in the theater with my son and it really was almost as good as being there and was a lot cheaper! Here is the page for ticket info:

Thanks! I will check it out. Sounds like I may need to take some time off from work to go to the movies. :yay:

Well bring it on Chris! Looks like an easy vote for me! I'm not always a fan of Arlen Specter but this is a no brainer.

 Hey, everyone! I'm finally back from my grandmother's house. I don't know if I can even come close to catching up with you guys!

I gave up trying too! :lmao: I just read the current page and join in there. ;) :rotfl:

Nice link. Those are pretty cool! Well, except for the Peacock Perch...it's just that something about a chamberpot doesn't quite say "vacation" to me! :snooty: ;)

All guests are welcome to use the Facilitree. I, for one, would NOT be using a chamber pot.

I think a Dis-Con meet is an excellent idea. I am always pointing out to my friends and family the conservative merits of the WDW product. Unfortunately, every year I see it being chiseled away, especially during the holiday season. Remember when St. Nicholas used to be found in World Showcase - mitre, crozier, and all! Yet, the Kwanzaa exibit seems to be getting bigger and bigger!

Still, I think we could live it up right and extol Walt's innovative practice of capitalism and patriotism. As homework, I suggest everyone watch Reagan's inaugural parade speech given at Epcot (surely it can be found on youtube).

Thanks guys for the snowballs -- goodness knows, these virtual ones might be all I get this winter. I'm jealous of that snow in Michigan.

I'm going to see if our local library has The Christmas Sweater. I've heard so much about it and I just LOVE  Glenn Beck

The library should have it, Ward - we do and it gets checked out a lot! :thumbsup2

woo-hoo - I checked and it's coming to a theater near me! Hope I don't forget - ya know, that brainlessness of us conservatives....

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I saw that, too - and apparently, there is some controversy about him talking about this on-air -- free advertising and all. Not that anyone will do anything about a democrat breaking any kind of code/rule or anything like that....:sad2:

Funny rumor that Tingly was jockeying for a spot as H's press secretary but he didn't get it so he's decided to run for Senate - I guess, if he wins :scared: , he'll get to be that much closer to THE ONE.

Cool - I'll look for it!

And, yes, a DIS CON-meet.....although my real pals are getting more and more concerned at all the time I'm spending with my virtual ones.

I'll keep my GOD, my FREEDOM, my GUNS and my MONEY. You can keep THE CHANGE.

Mickey, can we use this for a future thread title? I'm thinking around the time they "swear" this guy in.

I'll bet no one else is going to be at DL or DCA in Dec, huh? Everybody's going to WDW. I can't meet up with anyone. :sad1:
Hmmm, I'll have to check and see if our passports are good for when you are there. :goodvibes We have the So Cal passports and most of December is blacked out.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked and it looks like it will be playing at a theater 3 miles from here. :thumbsup2

Thank you for all of the Christmas siggies :santa: . I'm going to decorate my siggy tomorrow. I have to go to bed now, though because we are going to DL tomorrow. We're taking my oldest dd as a late birthday present.

Have fun at DL tomorrow. :thumbsup2
We're leaving here (WA) on Dec 15th probably around noon to early afternoon. We're driving straight through, I think, so we'll be there the 16th. :thumbsup2
Get there the 16th, 17th will be spent decorating for Christmas, 20th is family Christmas, 21st is church, we're leaving 22nd. 18th and 19th are only free days. Sheesh.

I'll be missing out all the way around...not doing WDW after all this year, and will be in Disneyland in late January. Oooooh well....

I wanted to go to this sooooooo bad but I coach cheerleading and my husband coaches basketball and we both have practice on the 17th. I wonder if we could swing the 18th? I'd love to see it.

To all those going to visit Disney during the holidays, "have a fantastic time"!!! I was hoping to squeeze in a last minute trip, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I'd love to go to a Con DISmeet though! Maybe sometime in the spring?

I borrowed it from someone else on this thread. I think it would make a GREAT thread title.
