Scene+ Program

OOh, I'll be excited to look for some offers! I've heard good things about tangerine. And while I like the points we get at scotiabank, I have found their online banking and app... uhh, frustrating.

I make a special trip to a Foodland about 30 minutes away and pick up really good local frozen egg rolls a few times a year. I'll buy 3 boxes at a time. Might have to go this weekend and pick up the Kit Kats as well. Thanks for posting.

This means nada to me, don't follow the Raptors OR scene points. Might help someone else though

Is anyone else playing the Scene+ "Grocery Giveaways" sweepstakes? I've completed a bunch of challenges but when I try to use my chips I cannot get the Submit button to come up on the app. I can see it just below where I enter the chip total but am unable to scroll or get access to it. Anyone else have this issue?

I have a relatively new Scotia Bank Scene card and am able to use points to pay off anything travel related on my bill (e.g., hotels and flights). Does anyone know if I can use the points to pay off Lightning Lane purchases or ADRs that require advance payment?

It is at a rate of 100 points per dollar and is better than buying Disney gift cards I believe.

My experience has been that those purchases show up as "entertainment" and not "travel" categories of purchases (we have a Scotiabank Amex). They will not show as eligible for being covered by points. Nor will park tickets paid directly to Disney.

Only charges by the hotel directly have shown as "travel" category for us so far, as they're "hotel".

Plus ride shares (to/from the airport), baggage fees when checking in, and hotel room/package costs.

So I always make my WDW on-site room booking as a "package" so I go online and pay it off in small amounts (like lay-away) and cover each small payment using my points!
(This would be the only way to use points to cover tickets, based on my above note).

I may struggle to be sure we get enough points to pay for say, $2000-4000, but I'll definitely have enough points to cover $200 every so often, and hopefully for all the payments to get our room/package for "free"!

But for lightning lanes and ADRs, maybe you can buy a Disney gift card using debit/credit to earn a few points (if bought at a store that gives Scene points on purchases) and use those to pay WDW for those things (apologies if you can't pay for LL & ADR with GC)), I don't actually know if you can, now I think on it).
