DH and I decided that we are just going to sit back and no longer work and just let Obama and all the other RICH people making $250,000 a year support us :thumbsup2 We had our fun of making money but we are tired of working hard to get it...we want some easy money
The rich aren't just paying an extra 4.6% over $250k. I'm hearing they will also lose their deductions. No deduction for their mortgage interest, property tax, etc. nothing. They will receive a standard deduction.:scared1:

This is a game changer. Why grow your business? Where's the incentive? This keeps getting worse and worse and worse....

I spent the evening at a seminar put on by our financial planner and 2 large fund programs. Both speakers were very reassuring that we would rebound from this downturn in the market. No matter really what the government dose it will turn around at some point. Historically it always has. They were defiantly suggesting that everyone continue to fund your investments. Be sure you are diversified and it would be best to have a planner you trust to help you make sure you have the proportions correct. (real estate/ stocks/ funds/ foreign/ domestic). All 3 speakers said to not put your money in the mattress! Even if emotionally that seems like the best choice right now. ;)

yup I herd the same thing!..and that will just kill DH and I because that is our biggest right off. This year was the first year that our right off for that was not as great due to being 9 years into the house and we have lost some of the interest right off. WE went:scared: :scared: :scared: at what we had to pay in Tax's this year ...when this goes through we will be  :headache:

Why bother to work hard to keep the American dream when someone in the GOV feels that when you do you need to pay money to those that chose not to.

And cutting on Medicare...that makes me angry.

So who wants my $$$$...sure the liberals that are looking in will be happy to take every penny they can get....and the ones that are making $ in the 6 figures....that say they have no problem sharing...lets see how they really feel when they get that tax hike....

What money? Obama's tax plan will leave less money to invest. He's also raising the capital gains tax on the "rich". How is our economy supposed to grow?

Every day the news is worse. I can't begin to imagine his next move.:scared1:

By the way...they are cutting 100 teaching jobs this year in our school district...notices are being sent out in 2 weeks. We are loosing over 8% of our moneys for our district schools. When we get Obamas $ it will not do to much except put a band-aid on a bleeding wound.

We have already cut as much as possible on things like books...know they have no choice but to cut into the people part of the budget. We are also having to cut more on Administration jobs and we are down to the bare bones with that.

This is what the meeting was about last night. Class sizes will be going up.

There is more but this gives you an idea. After 2 years they expect to be in real trouble. However we have a great school district board...they are really good so hope that with parents help we can get through this.

My older son goes to a Charter school but the funding is a little different for that. They are also having trouble but not like the on charter schools.

Seems Obama needed to take care of the schools before okaying millions for Pelosis mouse project.

No, Robin -- the liberals are the ones who care....we're getting cared for, remember?

My husband is looking into alternatives for any extra money we get. He says there has to be something to put our money in so that it isn't taxed until we withdraw it. By that time, hopefully the American voter will remove his/her head from between their legs and realize socialism is not the kind of hope and change they want.

We're getting something that feels like a suppository.

Socialism? We talking communism.

How is the housing market rebounding.. if the mortgage interest and property tax deduction is gone?

Is Obama intentionally destroying our country's wealth? His policies sure make one wonder.

I heard that bo wants to take 100% of taxable income from people who make over a certain amount. :scared1:
How in the heck is that supposed to help anyone?! He takes all their income...what are they supposed to live on?!
Doesn't make me want to earn that much. And yup, that's communism. Let's hope he doesn't actually do it.
I can't find any links for this...does anyone know?

The Senate voted on the Fairness Doctrine today. The DeMint amendment passed 87-11 which banned the Fairness Doctrine, but Durbin’s measure also passed 57-41. It is a "backdoor Fairness Doctrine".

Just like we have been saying, the Fairness Doctrine won't be passed but it will sneak in the back door under another name.

From Sen. Jim DeMint’s office:

Today, at 2pm, the Senate will vote on two amendments with respect to the Fairness Doctrine.

- The DeMint amendment (Broadcaster Freedom Act) would ban the Fairness Doctrine.

- The amendment by Senator Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) would achieve the same goals of the Fairness Doctrine through backdoor FCC regulations. His legislation forces the FCC to “take actions to encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership,” an attempt to dismantle successful syndicated radio programs. The Durbin amendment would hurt small, local radio stations who depend on popular syndicated programming for listeners and revenue.

Why are they allowed to say whatever they want whenever they want, but conservatives cannot? Can someone explain that to me? They're supposed to be the party of tolerance...but they only tolerate other sheeple that think as they do. They only tolerate those who tow the party line and parrot their squawking points.
"Dissent is patriotic". How many times did I hear that crap the past 8 years?! Yet when conservatives do it, they want to crush them?
Now small stations are supposed to just not put Rush, Hannity, Savage, Medved, Reagan, Beck or any of those others on their stations because God forbid some liberal can't get on there right after and scream about how wonderful bo is and how he shoots tingles up their legs and they'd drink their own urine if he told them to?

Ugh. I need some aspirin.

What the heck!

I had heard about this on Rush but didn't know they both passed.

Ya know, if the libs succeed in this, won't it be a case of winning the battle, but losing the war? Can't imagine the resulting backlash from this.

But, until then [I pray pray pray 'then' will be soon!], yeessh!

I've been listening to a new guy on XM and he had the former Lt. gov. of NY on. She wrote a piece on the stimulus bill that ruffled a lot of feathers and was trashed by MSNBC's Olberman. They won't have her on to defend herself. So where's her "fairness"?

What? How? What? I... I... what?

Is he serious?

That's the purpose of this bill. It will prevent information from being released to the public..unless it's spun to the left. Their version of the truth will be the only version. The average American won't have a clue what's happening.

Have you noticed? Everytime, something comes to pass that we predicted...the bar moves. "Oh, well...that's okay because...Bush did that..so, now Obama can do this."

Thanks! Nope, you can't have enough warm fuzzies. Especially right now. I'm not sure what to think of my family, (parents excluded). They're all avoiding/ignoring me. I've had no support from them at all. Thank goodness for my dogs!
