Grrrr..... I tried going to CHH for clam chowder tonight but would you believe they closed at 5pm AGAIN tonight??? What is up with that??? So I had Cosmic Ray's..... ok, but not what I really wanted. Does CHH not get much business or something? One thing about it- you work there, no early or late hours!

Must be the fault of the digital cable transition. In fact, when I see him, I don't hear anything at all. The tv goes completely silent and the word "mute" appears on the screen.

Yes, yes. This happens to me as well. It's sudden and unexpected. I look down, and YES, there's my thumb resting on the mute button, yet I have no recollection of moving it there. I had a similar affliction during the Clinton years. I never did get to the bottom of it, though. It seems to come and go. I think I'll just call it "random unexpected mute button affliction."

DH and I both suffer from this affliction. The only time it doesn't happen is when we're watching FNC. Strangest thing.

We have a similar problem in this house only our T.V. just starts switching channels. It's very strange.

i seem to remember that happening when i was there in spring...must not be the busiest side of the park or something.

I noticed that you've mentioned eating at and going to the parks almost daily. Do you all have apartments on site or just very close? It must be sooooo cool!!

I started a thread about it on the Restaurants board- maybe someone knows. You'd think since it's across from HM the people coming from that would come on in to eat at CHH. Maybe not. I almost ate at Casey's tonight but wasn't really in a hot dog mood (though resisting the corndog nuggets is very hard ). It's been in the 40s/50s here and I wanted my clam chowder!!!!!

Our apartments are right behind the DTD hotels (Hilton, etc.). Maybe a mile from the WDW entrance.

For most people, it's different with your kids. I'm one of those. If my kids puke, I'm SuperWoman. I hold back hair, I wipe mouths, I rub backs, I can clean it off floors or faces or clothes, I have even caught it in my hands. But if my husband throws up, he is on his own, jack. I gag horribly if the dog or cats puke and really can't handle cleaning it.

I was like that with poop, too. My own babies' diapers never bothered me, but other people's babies have gross poop.

Me too. I can't handle other kids' diapers/wiping them, but have no problem with my own. Vomiting doesn't bother me if it's my kids, but if it's my DH - can't handle it.

This is SO true! I don't understand how people are so blind!

i'm thinkin' 'bout this $500k salary limit we heard about today--

i don't really think it is a TERRIBLE idea, considering the taxpayers are giving money to these companies and we'd like to see it spent wisely. i have a feeling we'll see extremely competent execs leaving companies 'cause this will be a serious pay cut for them. if they're there for the challenge, wonderful. i'm not sure how many people are willing to take on that challenge for that amount of money. maybe a higher salary limit with a bonus allowed based on revenue...a small percentage.

I don't like it. Not one bit. Where there is a ceiling on pay, there's no drive to succeed.

OMGosh! I cannot even believe what I just saw on the local news. People in StL are hosting stimulus parties to talk about the bill and what it will do to fix the economy. I am serious they interviewed people on the news saying they were behind the Pres and he can do it. They at least did mention economists don't think it will work and this was Fox2.

Remember when Google did it's 10 (?) year celebration and reinstated it’s old search engine – the one that hadn’t had anything scrubbed by Team Obama (since they were – and still are notorious for scrubbing info and document’s off the internet if it makes Obama look bad. I remember how bad it was getting during the election when bloggers had to take screen caps of everything to prove that info. had at one point existed because it’d be deleted pretty quick)

I digress…

The old Google search engine pulled up that Obama is in fact a member of the Socialist party – full fledged card carrying member. No one cared then, no one will care now.

You were on the project to not release Sims 3 until June? I'm gonna beat you up!! Seriously, though, if you know about the game I'd love to hear it. Maybe that'll make up for pushing back the release date, if you're able.

I think if they didn't take a bail-out then he has no say-so in how much they pay a CEO. If they took bail-out money then they have to follow gub'men rules.

I think that the banks that jumped into bed with the govt deserve what they get. I do think the govt. should put someone on the bank board and do this on the "up and up".
