Just wanted you all to know I'm joining the Democratic party...why stay a Republican and still have to pay taxes:confused3 ...there may be a DVC in my future now:rotfl2: :lmao:

Hey, now that is a great idea!! I knew I would get DVC Hawaii if I wished hard enough!! Maybe I do like this new president we have....

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ugh! I may not be posting for awhile - DD just threw up, and I'm sure we're going to be next. Blah, I hate the throw up flu. It usually doesn't hit us.

Oh, and I'm the worst mom ever when it comes to throw up. I've actually run from the kids before. Yup, bad mom. I can handle any other type of illness and nurture through it - but not this. I get sick just seeing a cat or dog throw up, much less a kid.

But don't worry, karma plays out - I always catch it! So, anyone want to do a countdown with me? :scared:  :scared:

Yeah, when my taxes get raised to pay for this stimulus thing, I just won't pay them. No harm, no foul. ;)

Oh man Breezy, I hope you don't get it. When my kids throw up I just want to run away from home. :sad2:

So Wallace is interviewing Obama and asked if Daschle had not dropped out, would Obama continued to have supported him. Obama's response: "I don't want to get into hypotheticals." Please.:rolleyes2

Way to be resolute in your vagueness, Mr. President! Good job!:lmao: :lmao:

Well, the good thing is DH is really good about it.

Oh, and tonight's dinner plans just got switched to pasta with a little bit of butter and that's it. All white foods for the next 48 hrs. I guess....just in case. Ugh.

Any other suggestions? We don't get this thing - in fact DS and DD have only had it once in their lives, so I'm a little rusty with this.

Oh breezy!!:scared::crazy2: I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Hope your DD is feeling better quickly.

DS got it over CHristmas break, and we scoured everything he touched right away. I followed him around with a can of Lysol spray;) and we washed our hand abou every 10 minutes. No one else got it:thumbsup2

I hope you stay healthy!

I think my son's fourth grade teacher wants a snow day really really bad. She told the class to wear their pajamas inside out and to dump a glass of ice water in the toilet.:confused3 :rotfl:

:rotfl: You sound like me! I just wiped everything down with clorox wipes and my hands are already raw from washing them. Also, it's winter - but the house is being "aired out". I'd rather be cold than hugging the john. :crazy2:

Thanks everyone.

So it wasn't a nanny but rather someone she let live in her home. Its been so long I couldn't remember the particulars. Suffice to say, the liberals got in a hissy fit and put on the heat and she withdrew her name.
I thought they were completely okay with illegals. But again, it's
H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y.
;)

Not surprised that bho lied. He did it his whole campaign, why stop now?

Anyone else get this email from McCain??

Yesterday, the Senate began debate on an economic stimulus package that is intended to get our economy back on track and help Americans who are suffering through these difficult times. Unfortunately, the proposal on the table is big on the giveaways for the special interests and corporate high rollers, yet short on help for ordinary working Americans. I cannot and do not support the package on the table from the Democrats and the Obama Administration. Our country does not need just another spending bill, particularly not one that will load future generations with the burden of massive debt. We need a short term stimulus bill that will directly help people, create jobs, and provide a jolt to our economy.

I believe we need to evaluate every bit of spending in this stimulus proposal with one important criteria - does it really stimulate the economy and help create jobs - if the answer is no, it does not belong in a so-called stimulus package. Furthermore, the stimulus must include significant direct relief to American workers in the form of payroll tax cuts and programs to help homeowners keep their homes. Finally, we need an end game to this stimulus so that when our economy recovers, these spending programs do not remain permanent and saddle our children with a skyrocketing national debt.

I appreciate the discussions President Obama is having with my Republican colleagues, but the time for talking has come to an end and we must now begin some serious negotiation. But as of yet, Republicans have not been given the opportunity to be involved. The House of Representatives passed a stimulus bill without a single Republican supporting it. In the Senate, the Democrat leadership is trying to jam the existing proposal through regardless of reservations from a number of members. With so much at stake, the last thing we need is partisanship driving our attempts to turn the economy around.

I have long been a fighter against wasteful spending in Washington and long an advocate for a balanced budget -- that will never change. I realize we face extraordinary challenges with our economy today, but that is not an excuse for more irresponsibly from Washington. I hope you will join me in saying no to this stimulus package as it currently exists by signing this petition.

Ugh!! I feel for you. Dd had this last Thursday, then ds got it for Friday and Saturday. Luckily dd (2) never got it and me and dh have been spared as well thank goodness. We are old pros though as we had no less than 3 stomach viruses go through the entire family last year (dd's first year in school). Anyhow, wipe everything and I mean everything light switches, toilet handles, remote control, door knobs, etc. As soon as they begin to feel better wash their blankets in hot water and finally remember to keep your hands away from your face. I used to have the nasty habit of licking my fingers when there wasn't a napkin near by, it was just something I would do without thinking (I know gross), I am happy to say that after last year I have broken my self of that habit and haven't been sick since.

Another tip that the school nurse would always tell my students was to sneeze and cough in the crook of your arm, rather than into your hands.

Oh man breezy, I hope the kids are better soon. DS was sick last week and threw up spaghetti(with red sauce) all over my nice powder blue slippers. :scared: :faint: The throw up doesn't bother me much , but it sure does stain. HE also threw up chocolate milk all over our beige carpet. :sad2: I should have stuck with the white foods. Oh well, live and learn. :lmao:

Thanks, will do. I feel badly for her. She's sleeping right now.

But she reminds me of Monica from Friends. She stood there holding her "bucket" and I tell her to keep hold of it in case she gets sick again and she tells me, "I'm not sick!" She always does this with any bug she gets - she never admits she's sick.

Remember that episode where Monica won't admit she's sick? - that's DD! :rotfl:
