I haven't been watching the news. Did they pass the stimulus package?

i was hearing a lot of chatter about it, but i haven't heard anything definitive...would probably be "breakiing news".

We're about to be seriously hoodwinked (I'd use a stronger word but I have to remember where I'm posting).

i know we are. i am not certain people have come to the realization of where all this money ultimately must come from.

it'd be great to create a million new jobs, but everybody will be paying for them through this bill. i'd rather see tax cuts to companies large enough to create jobs, affording those jobs by means of the tax cut, and large enough to weather the natural ups and downs of business so that they can maintain those jobs. even additional tax cuts for on the job training. but what i hear comes from this bill is not good.

it is also sad about the spending on remodeling, government cars, ACORN...those are things you spend on AFTER recovery if it is deemed acceptable; not now.

Hey Tink, I found this for you. This is what your little guy is going to sound like soon, oh, and it comes with a Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper with Sonic Ice. :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Stewie-Mom, mom, mom...

I'm watching Cspan and they're debating or whatever they call it now.

I'm wondering why they consider 2 republicans out of the entiire Congress agreeing to vote "yes" for the bill "bipartisan"?

Not to mention funding for contraceptives, research projects, and other things that would tank us in a normal year. How long are these jobs going to last anyway?

That's what Mac said! I'm finally finding newfound respect for him again after he slammed Hopey McRainbowpants (as my politician cynic friend would call him) :lmao:

I think Obama wants this bill to be passed RIGHT NOW because if it's not people will start to realize that there are signs that the recession is turning around on it's own.

6 more months and we'd be out of this on our own!

He's freaking out because his ratings are starting to slip.

And by the way,
There is no such thing as bipartisanship. Only converting everyone to conservatism.

Three RINO's are now supporting the "spendulus" package. So, that makes it bipartisan...right?

This last 18 days has been a nightmare! :scared1: We have no choice... other than to bend over and uh...take it.

Good heavens, that is the funniest, ever!!!!

100% agree

I'm watching Cspan and they're debating or whatever they call it now.

I'm wondering why they consider 2 republicans out of the entiire Congress agreeing to vote "yes" for the bill "bipartisan"?

So they can blame the Republicans down the road for this mess

I think Obama wants this bill to be passed RIGHT NOW because if it's not people will start to realize that there are signs that the recession is turning around on it's own.

I think that also

He's freaking out because his ratings are starting to slip.

He is already beginning to take a dive. Funny, where are the news reports on this? :confused3

it doesn't make any sense that people would stand for this. all i can imagine is that people hear the words and don't understand what they really mean.

hey...you know what? they guy's going to the theater tonight. lincoln. that's all i can say. :sad2:

ETA: for those simple-minded folks who don't seem to be able to comprehend anything, i'll explain. now read carefully; i'll try to use simple concepts and simple words.

there was much discussion about bho relating his actions prior to and following the election after abraham lincoln. abraham lincoln was our sixteenth president, doncha know. mr. lincoln was from illinois as is bho. bho's p.r. people thought it would be a good idea to pattern the inagural party after a party mr. lincoln had, he referenced mr. lincoln in his presentations, he used the lincoln bible for the inauguration, and i believe somebody jokingly commented he was driven to the inaugural in a lincoln! after the inauguration, the Os and the bidens went for a train ride just like lincoln's train ride. see all the similarities?

now, bho has been working to initiate lots of "change" during his first 100 days of his presidency. in his effort, some pretty bad things have happened. just yesterday, bho dropped charges against a known terrorist housed at guantanamo bay. this was horrifying news, not just to those of us who are smart enough to realize the ramifications of such an action, but to the families of those young men and women killed when the bomb hit the u.s.s. cole. very sad. very disrespectful.

based on all the lincoln similarities coupled with so many bad decisions, it seems quite likely, does it not, that some crazed maniac, in john hinkley(sp) style, will put two and two together and attempt to fill in the rest of the story while bho attends the theater? one would have to be extremely naive to not realize the possibility. i know you simpletons live in a dream world where everything is rainbows and flowers, but it is seriously time to wake up. bad, stupid people attempt bad, stupid things. we've seen it before. so i would ask, if you were bho and you made terrible decisions and had compared yourself to abe lincoln, wouldn't you maybe wait a while before you made a date for the theater? at least get all these angry people (including democrats) off your back first? i hope so. it's all about making good choices in life.

now please go take some remedial reading comprehension classes. none of you seem to be able to read what is before you; rather you read into everything your own hate and evil. try being the reasonable kind people you purport to be and stop creating drama where none exists.

oh good. hope they don't mind lookin' down the barrel of a shotgun when they set their toes on my property.
