I'm glad you took the time and effort to go wade through some of their drivel though. :grouphug: Do you need to be made clean?

Thought we could all use a little of this...

I don't understand some of them. Some know what Rush, Beck, and Hannity are saying better than me or other cons. If someone on the radio or TV was pissing me off THAT much, I wouldn't listen to them or watch them. Seems simple enough, right? :confused3 Same goes for this thread. Is it really that hard to ignore us? Are we that special?
Why yes, yes we are! We're smart, likeable, cute...what's not to lurk and love?
Remember...God made us special, and He loves us very much!

There is no such thing as bipartisanship. Only converting everyone to conservatism.
Heh.

I know wonder's not going to assassinate obama. Plane tickets to DC are pricey. :p
Kidding. That's not the real reason she wouldn't do it, lurkers. Unlike ya'll, we don't believe murder is okay.

My fellow cons, please remember my road sign previously posted and proceed with caution, and ignore the stinky bait.;)

Last I heard, Cloture vote is set for 5:30 on Monday. May Heaven help us...

oh gosh! i thought they were going to try to vote today. i know they're still yammering about it. it was nice to see mccain stand up for something. a little late, but i'm glad he spoke up.

I haven't seen the stinky bait, but then again, I try not to look, I get nauseous easily. ::yes::

If everyone can kind of keep a good thought or prayer for me over the next little bit, I'd appreciate it. I got some very good test results yesterday, ones that I think can move me on to surgery, I sent a message to my endocrinologist to see if this is enough, but I haven't heard back from him yet. It might take a week or so to hear something (he doesn't have a regular practice, it's kind of hard to explain). So here's to hoping he clears me for March 25th. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I have noticed that there are some in the virtual world that attempt to remove those with opinions which do not parrot their own. I believe one might say their goal is to create an internet vacuum, a world devoid of matter. Silencing dissent assuages the egos of empty suits.

Oh, honugirl, I am so glad you got good news. You will be in my thoughts for the very best news!!! Here is hoping March 25 is the day!:thumbsup2

Not to mention funding for contraceptives, research projects, and other things that would tank us in a normal year.
How long are these jobs going to last anyway?
we haven't heard. we only hear the amounts to be spent, but not the process being used. there was something written stating that each job created would cost $300,000.00. if that is really true, it would be better to give a large company a tax credit of that amount for each new job THEY create and a percentage of that each year for the number of years they maintain that position in their company. when i heard what's-his-face saying that the new construction jobs shouldn't necessarily mean hiring white, skilled construction workers, i wondered what the heck was going on anyway. i don't care what color a construction worker is, but i do want them to be skilled if i'm driving across the bridge they work on.

and yeah...the birth control, std stuff. come one...we all know what causes pregnancy, etc. no reason to spend that amount of money in relation to those things.

i have to say this though...the honeybee business. i live in a heavily agricultural area of california. people here who depend on their crops for their livings really are having a hard time. apparently bees can catch some virus or bacteria which kills them, and there really is a shortage of bees. no bees = no polination = no crops. there are people here who rent their bee hives to orchard owners for lots of money.

It's in front of the topiaries outside Mad Tea Party.
it did look like a miniature version of the leaves holding the track on the d'land alice ride. :goodvibes

HHO is a pompous, arrogant, self-centered, egotistical a--hole.
ant? ant hole? i thought they had hills. :teeth:

I think I know who W.O.W is. Another poster with an O in the middle of their screenname who I haven't seen in a bit.

oh...laugh always seemed pretty reasonable i thought.

I have been reading about this crisis for several years. Didn't they determine the culprit was a mite of some kind? Or, was that just a temporary theory? People who are unfamiliar with agrarian areas have no idea how important bees are to our entire food supply. I doubt if any significant portion of our country knows what a major problem this is.

hi again. was there a message? perhaps you thought we had some cake with fondant? :teeth:
Well, I couldn't see it, but I think it said something about he's seen the error of his ways and is becoming a conservative. :thumbsup2
