yes. the post we received a warning about pertained to the "salute to heroes" ball. there were very unpleasant accusations being made about the title of the thread, the original poster, and about everybody else's support of the thread. turns out the thread was accurately titled, but we received a warning on this thread for trolling.

Good Morning! Just got through reading my emails and I had one that had me LOL! Another Disser sent me a post from the OS thread. I could not stop laughing: seems he/she/whatever believed that my tongue-in-cheek post last night about creating my own version of the thought police took it personal. Obviously, he/she/whatever did not read my other posts commenting no how immature, puerile nonsense was not my game plan (although it appears to be others). That is why I never call the OS derogatory names: politicians, yes, they deserve it; people with ideologies different than my own, no. Something interesting, though, based on what I was sent, he/she/whatever made a flippant comment, that, depending on the reader, might be construed in a very negative manner. Good grief, people, grow up (and quit lurking, it appears to be bad on your blood pressure)!

I don't understand some of them. Some know what Rush, Beck, and Hannity are saying better than me or other cons. If someone on the radio or TV was pissing me off THAT much, I wouldn't listen to them or watch them. Seems simple enough, right? Same goes for this thread. Is it really that hard to ignore us? Are we that special?

Hey, Wonder. I've now read what got the lib's in a tizzy last night. One of our resident lurkers went back to their thread and posted this about you:

"...encouraging readers to assassinate Obama..."

You're still the topic of conversation over there this morning. They want the SS, FBI, SWAT team and whatever else they can find on you now.

Now for a disclaimer: (lurkers - please turn off your selective reading for two seconds and pay attention) Had Wonder actually encouraged an assassination of Obama, I would not be making this post to her, at this moment, where I'm mocking you guys about becoming hysterical over nothing.

Had Wonder actually encouraged or advocated the assassination of Obama not a single person on this thread would have supported that. I’d be calling the Secret Service myself if I thought there was a real threat.

The point of her post, the one that you guys are taking exception to, was not to encourage or advocate an assassination of Obama. He was going to the theater, she was mocking him for that as he likes to compare himself to Lincoln and everyone knows what happened to Lincoln at the theater. At no time has Wonder expressed a desire for Obama to be dead.

I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot, and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her that we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

Inhofe Statement on Stimulus Compromise

February 6, 2009

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.), issued the following statement tonight after the announcement of a compromise on the Senate stimulus bill.

"While I appreciate the efforts of my colleagues to bring down the price tag of this bill, the fact is we still face a trillion dollar spending bill. Making it worse, the bill is 93% spending and only 7% stimulation. Over the past few days I have fought to include more in the way of real stimulus through higher percentage of infrastructure and defense spending, while working to cut much of the typical government waste often found in a bill of this size. Yet Democrats have blocked these efforts.

"The good news tonight is that the American people are catching on to the fact that this is the largest spending bill in history and are becoming more and more vocal in their opposition. My offices in Oklahoma and Washington DC have been flooded with emails, phone calls and faxes overwhelmingly opposed to this trillion dollar legislation. They can rest assured that my vote remains an unwavering ‘no.'"
